On March 9th, I photographed Ilyana and Aaron’s Jewish wedding at the Montebello Jewish Center in Montebello, NY. I was really excited to take on this wedding since it was my first religious Jewish wedding. I have done a few Jewish weddings before, but this one had all the traditions and customs I had never seen before.
The day started off with me arriving to cover a bit of bridal prep, once Ilyana was zipped into her gorgeous tea length dress, we headed outside for a first look with her groom, Aaron. As described in my previous “First Look” post, I love first looks and the expression on Aaron’s face when he saw her was priceless.
After the first look we headed into the Ketubah signing and the Bedeken. I had never seen the Bedeken before and I found both of their ceremonies very unique with all the Hebrew prayers and singing.
After the ceremony was over, we headed into dinner/reception where the Hoorah was the best I had ever seen! The dancing was so fun and I laughed the entire time! Ilyana’s face was priceless for the chair lift and the dancing around them was so fun to watch.
I loved so many of their details…their rings were stunning, the HUGE stain glass windows were a beautiful backdrop and I loved their DIY details.
This wedding was so fun to be a part of! Thank you Ilyana and Aaron for allowing me to capture your day 🙂
