Last month I photographed Faye and Ben’s wedding at Lucien’s Manor in Berlin, NJ. From the beginning of the day, family and friends played such an important role in their Jewish wedding. As soon as I arrived I immediately started photographing Faye’s full wedding gown. I couldn’t help capturing some of her personal touches, such as the shoes she wore, which just so happened to be the same shoes her Mother wore when she married her Father!
Soon we headed outside for individual portraits of Faye, and then more with her bridesmaids. Faye’s bridesmaids were college friends, her sister, and Ben’s sister and it was obvious these girls were tight. We had a blast walking over Lucien’s Manor capturing the girls smiling, laughing, and just being themselves.
Once Ben arrived, we did a first look. I loved how they had their bridesmaids and groomsmen on the stairs with Ben waiting at the bottom. The photos of Faye and Ben seeing each other for the first time were beautifully dramatic. After the first look, we headed outside for couple photos. Faye and Ben were so comfortable together, I really love each and every moment I captured.
After the Ketubah signing and ceremony, it was time to party! I love Jewish receptions because of the horah! Their dance floor was packed as every single guest raised Faye and Ben and both sets of parents on chairs. There were plenty of toasts and speeches, good food, and a live band!
