Sayen Gardens Engagement Session – Laura & Sean
About a month ago, I photographed Laura and Sean’s Sayen Gardens engagement session, it was a gorgeous summer day and I am so excited to share!
Laura and Sean’s first date was on July 10, 2014. They met up at a restaurant that was mutually convenient and instantly hit it off, talking about anything and everything throughout dinner. Laura knew she loved him after a month, but realized he was “the one” three months after they met, she was traveling to Europe and missed him so much, that’s when she realized that he was the one.
Laura and Sean were engaged on September 10th of last year, almost exactly a year before their wedding date! The proposal story from Laura: “When we were first dating I had sent Sean a picture of the sunset on the bay and told him that this was my favorite place in the world. So one weekend we were at my parents beach house and rode our bikes down to the bay for the sunset. It wasn’t a promising sunset but then at one point the sun peaked through the clouds and looking absolutely amazing. We took a selfie with it behind us and as I went to look at the picture he got down on one knee. He completely caught me off guard!”
When these two aren’t planning their elegant yet rustic wedding, they’re going out to eat, drink wine, ride bikes and are watching Netflix. Once married, their dreams are to travel a bit (they’re honeymooning in Mexico!), and then have a couple of kids! And then still continue to travel!
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
Do a lot as you go, even the little things that seem crazy to do 6 months out. Just do all the little stuff as you go so that you’re not stressed right before the wedding! You want to be relaxed, get as much sleep, and have time for yourself before the big day.
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Having all of our loved ones in one place, supporting us as we become husband and wife.
