The Moorestown Community House, located right on Main Street in Moorestown, New Jersey is a charming and historic wedding venue. This venue uniquely combines the charm of a 1920’s English Manor while also showcasing its historic architecture, these two combinations creates a romantic backdrop for your special day! The Ballroom, with its coffered ceiling, wood paneling and grand fireplace reflects the charm and quiet dignity of an English manor home. The Ballroom is large enough to seat up to 200 people comfortably with room for dancing.
Moorestown is located in Burlington County approximately 10 miles from Philadelphia and borders Maple Shape, Mount Laurel and Cinnaminson. The Community House is located in the center of the town named the “Best Town in America” in 2005 by Money Magazine, the Moorestown Community House is a unique architectural treasure that serves as the perfect setting for weddings and wedding receptions. The beautiful reception rooms, commercial kitchen, bridal and groomsmen suites, patios, and grounds are all available exclusively to you on your special day.
The Moorestown Community House is filled with history, In 1923, Eldridge Johnson, a successful businessman in town, was approached by a group of Moorestown residents looking for land and financing to build a community center. Mr. Johnson agreed to donate the funds necessary to build the facility, along with establishing a “permanent maintenance fund” for building operations. He challenged the community to raise funds towards building the community center and within eight months, more than $106,000 was raised in a town-wide fund drive. Donations came from 740 individuals, 500 school children and dozens of local civic and fraternal organizations. Mr. Johnson ultimately donated $250,000 and established a “permanent maintenance fund,” which at the time was $117,000. The Community House opened its doors on April 11, 1926.
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
