WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
July 30, 2019
Earlier this Summer, I photographed Amber and Ryan’s Hoboken engagement photos! I met these two on a gorgeous Summer evening and it felt like we had the entire waterfront to ourselves, which never happens in Hoboken! I am so excited to share their Hoboken engagement photos.
Amber and Ryan met in the 4th grade when she moved from New York to New Jersey. They did not have a lot of interaction until high school, but Amber’s mom has a really cute video of them singing in the same play in the 5th grade! Their first date was so long ago that these two are unsure of where it even took place, but Amber says that something about the Cheesecake Factory in high school sounds right. These two went to senior prom together, so that stands out the most to them. They dated for a very very short time in high school, and then reconnected senior year of college. She knew he was the one after she saw how great he was with her brother who has a disability. They have a really great relationship, and that is so important to Amber.
Engaged on 06/23/2018, the proposal from Amber: “Ryan proposed to me at my graduation party for my masters degree at my beach house in Mantoloking, NJ. I planned the whole party, invited all of my friends and family, and Ryan ended up stealing the show. It was the perfect proposal because my beach house is my favorite place in the world, and I got to share the moment with so many people that I love.”
Amber and Ryan are planning a Bay Head Yacht Club wedding. Their wedding has a very beachy, laid back vibe and they hope it stays that way! When these two are not wedding planning, they like to walk along the Hoboken waterfront, hang out with friends, and talk about their future dog (that Amber refuses to let live in their current apartment!). Once married their dream is to get a dog, or two, possibly a cat, and move out of their apartment and into a house. They would eventually like to have kids, but are definitely not in a rush to do so!
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
Ryan and I took two years to plan our wedding, and I’m really glad we did! It gave us time to enjoy being engaged, and plenty of time to get the venue and vendors that we wanted.
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
I am looking forward to spending an awesome day in my favorite place with Ryan and all of the most important people in my life!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
