Sweet Molly just turned ONE! 🎉 As a balloon arch cake smash photographer, few things make me happier than bringing a family’s vision to life, especially when I’ve had the honor of documenting their journey from pregnancy bump to baby’s first birthday.

I first met Molly’s parents when they were expecting and photographed their maternity session. Since then, I’ve captured her newborn portraits, milestone sessions throughout her first year, and now, this unforgettable cake smash. Watching her grow has been such a joy and a privilege!

For Molly’s first birthday, her mom requested a Winnie the Pooh inspired cake smash—a theme full of sweetness and nostalgia. To bring the vision to life, I styled the set with a warm brown backdrop, paired with a balloon arch in shades of pink, green, and white, accented by greenery and soft twinkle lights. The colors tied together beautifully and gave just the right touch of whimsy.

One of my favorite parts of cake smash sessions is creating custom balloon arches. They’re incredibly versatile and can be designed to match any theme or color palette – from soft neutrals to bright and bold celebrations. Not only do they make the photos pop, but they also add such a fun, celebratory feel to the entire session. And who doesn’t love balloons!?
