WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
January 27, 2016
Last November, I photographed Lauren and Philip’s wedding at the Concord Country Cub in West Chester, PA. I first met Lauren and Philip at their engagement shoot last May and instantly knew they would be such a fun couple to photograph on their wedding day and I was right!
The day started off at a nearby hotel where the girls were bustling to get the final details together. The huge smile on Lauren’s face was contagious, she was such a happy and excited bride and I loved capturing her final moments of preparation before their first look.
Lauren and Philip decided to do their first look at their venue prior to the ceremony and I am so glad we did! This November day was dark by the time their ceremony was complete. Walking to the spot I had chosen for the first look, I was tearing up just walking Lauren there. When these two saw each other for the first time, they did not disappoint! Their happiness and excitement was adorable to capture.
These two first met when Philip’s sister and Lauren’s best friend set them up, clearly she is a fantastic match maker!
After the first look, we jumped into a couple of golf carts and drove all over the grounds of the Concord Country Club photographing these two in the best spots. My favorite spot was the rustic door and wall we were able to use, which fit perfectly into their rustic chic theme!
We had an unusually warm day for their November wedding, but the Fall colors still seemed to pop right out of my images.
My second favorite spot was the willow tree, I love these dramatic trees on a wedding day and was so happy this venue had them for us to use.
After the couple photos concluded, we headed into bridal party photos where we continued to laugh, I loved capturing this fun group.
Lauren and Philip had a traditional ceremony at Sts. Simon and Jude RC Church. Although the ceremony was traditional, we still managed to capture tons of emotion and smiles throughout.
Once the ceremony was over, it was finally time to get back to their venue for cocktail hour and the party! I loved their details throughout the reception. Lauren and Philip had beautiful succulents as their escort card and favor, which I loved as I am doing the same thing for my own wedding in two months!
On the dance floor, Lauren turned to me at one point and said, “this is SO fun!” She loved every minute of her reception and I loved every minute capturing it!
Thank you Lauren and Philip for allowing me to photograph your magical day! xoxox
