December 18, 2023
On December 8, 2023, I photographed Allison and Ed’s December Wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, New Jersey. Allison and Ed had a simple and classic winter wedding with a color palette of seaglass, silver, ivory and dusty blue. My favorite part of their day was capturing their adorable 1.5 year old daughter, Aubrey! Ed did a first look with her and she was a flower girl who was pulled down the aisle in an adorable wagon. I always love seeing how my couple’s include the people most special to them into the wedding day. I am so excited to share Allison and Ed’s perfect December wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club!
Allison and Ed met in August of 2020 when they were both very single. A mutual friend thought it would be a great idea for the two of them to meet, so they both agreed to a double date in Philly. They went to an Interactive Art Gallery exhibit in Center City which isn’t either of their styles, but there was nothing to do during the first Summer of the pandemic! It was a double date with their mutual friend and her husband. After the exhibit, they went back to their friends house in Philly to play games and eat pizza.
Years before Allison met Ed, she went to a tarot card reader in October 2018 who told her when she was supposed to meet “the” man, how they were to meet, and gave her a list of characteristics about this mysterious man. Ed matched all of it. Allison realized this after their 3rd date. Allison told Ed the story shortly after… and it didn’t scare him, he was so excited! Which solidified to her that he was “the one.”
Engaged on 05/31/2022, the proposal: “Our daughter was just born, and we were doing a newborn photoshoot at the house. Allison’s co-worker came over to take photos. We had planned to do a family photo at the end of the shoot. We were standing to take the last few photos and Ed had then suggested to put our daughter in a different outfit for the last photo. Ed was trying to quickly change our 13-day old daughter, who had then woken up and was HANGRY. We tried to soothe her to take our last photo, when Ed pulled down her swaddle to show her onesie, it read: “Mommy, will you marry my Daddy?” Then Ed knelt down on one knee and proposed. The moment captured on photo, with our daughter screaming.”
When Allison, a physical therapist and Ed, a sergeant at the county jail weren’t planning their December wedding at Scotland Run, they enjoy going to breweries, wineries, or hanging out with friends or family. Now married, their dreams include having more children! Allison hopes to travel and for Ed to get over his fear of flying (it’s a work in progress!). Their advice for couple’s currently planning their weddings is hire a great photographer and a videographer. Ed was most looking forward to marrying each other. Allison couldn’t wait to have a day to celebrate each other with all of their loved ones and the people who mean the most to them in this world. She also, couldn’t wait to see their daughter as the flower girl!
Thank you to Allison and Ed for choosing me to photograph your December wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club!
