WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
June 22, 2016
I loved photographing Anna and Yin’s Gables at Chadds Ford Wedding on May 1st of this year. These two were so clearly in love and one of my happiest couples ever, their contagious smiles and excitement completely overshadowed the rainy day they had on their wedding day.
I started the day with Yin and his groomsmen at a nearby hotel. These guys were so sweet and so polite! I loved photographing their laughter and excitement for the day ahead. Yin had great details, unique cuff links from Anna’s father and red bracelets as a nod to his Chinese heritage. My favorite detail were their invites, which happened to be in both English and Chinese!
When I arrived to the bridal suite cottage at the Gables at Chadds Ford, the girls were in the middle of finishing up hair and makeup. The mood was calm and fun and I was happy to capture all of Anna’s beautiful details – I loved her sapphire jewelry as well as her stunning backless long sleeved lace dress.
I was so excited to do their first look. I knew from their engagement session how cute they were together, but I don’t think I was quite ready for Yin’s tears. He was the cutest groom!
After the first look, we headed to a nearby antique shop for couple photos. They had a gorgeous rustic barn that fit in perfectly with their wedding as well as a beautiful storefront with a pretty red door and hanging flowers.
After a few couple photos, we headed back to the Gables at Chadds Ford for bridal party photographs. Thankfully the rain disappeared for a few minutes and we were able to get fun group shots of this fun tight knit group!
Their ceremony was one of the most sweetest I have seen, again our groom could barely hold back his tears and their vows were heartfelt and sincere. I loved that they both told the same stories and mentioned the same things throughout their vows!
Their reception was one of the most unique of the year for me! After entrances, they started the evening off with a singing duet followed by dinner. After dinner, it was time for some hilarious speeches (I am still giggling over her Dad’s speech) as well as stories told by Yin’s uncle in Chinese that he had to interpret for the guests.
The dance floor was nonstop until the end and their night included sweet dances by our couple, twirling by her uncle as well as a hora, which will always be my favorite wedding event to photograph!
Thank you to Anna and Yin for allowing me to capture your day! xoxoxox
