Best of 2017 – New Jersey Engagement Photographer

I always look forward to sharing this blog post all year, and last week I shared my Best of 2017 – Weddings post and this week, I am so excited to share my Best of 2017 – New Jersey Engagement Photographer blog post!

Major milestones this year included photographing 33 weddings under Susan Hennessey Photography as well as my 100th wedding! I won Best of the Knot 2018 for the 4th year in a row and was inducted into the Best of the Knot Hall of Fame this year as well. I am also a 2018 Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award winner, such a big and rewarding year!

 

 

 

This year my engagement sessions brought me all over the region, just like my weddings! I photographed my couples all the way from Montauk Point, New York to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to Cape May, New Jersey. I have said this so many times and it’ll never change, but one of my favorite places to shoot an engagement session is the beach! I love everything about the ocean, the sand and of course lighthouses. I do love to remind my couples that if they do choose a beach location for the photos, be prepared for the wind! I always recommend an updo of some sort or a style that won’t blow in your face the whole session or get ruined by the wind.

Princeton Campus has always been and will be one of my favorite locations for an engagement session in Central Jersey, I love the history, the architecture, the arches, the fall foliage as well as the ivy on the walls of the building.

This year, I finally was lucky enough to have a couple of snowy sessions as well!

I also LOVE when my couples bring their furry friends along for the engagement session. I met quite a few fun and sweet dogs this year and can’t wait to meet more this year! If you plan on bringing your pet to the session, please coordinate this with a friend or family member. I prefer to photograph the two of you with your pet at either the beginning or end of the shoot. This ensures we have enough time to concentrate on the two of you without any distractions from family members or pets.

2018 is already shaping up to be just as amazing! I cannot wait to look back and reflect on all the amazingness that is 2018 in one year.
