WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >

Last month, I was so excited to be Christa and Perry Blue Heron Pines wedding photographer. Blue Heron Pines is another one of the venues I am a preferred vendor at and I am always so honored to photograph there!
Perry & Christa attended the same high school and were in the same graduating class. Senior year, they had several classes together. Christa remembers Perry being “too cool” to talk to her in high school. Perry says in their A&P class, Christa sat in front of him and wouldn’t even turn around to talk to him and hand him papers. It wasn’t until a few years after high school when Perry and Christa finally started talking. Since they knew a lot of the same people and had a few mutual friends, they ran into each other one night at a local bar in Galloway & started talking. The same night, Perry wrote on Christa’s Facebook wall, in what he thought was the coolest way to do so, his phone number with the caption “use it.” For some reason, still unknown to this day, Christa “used it” and the rest is history.
Six years after they began dating, Perry proposed on a cool spring day. Christa and Perry went hiking in Asheville, North Carolina as hiking is one of Perry and Christa’s favorite things to do together. Perry loves exploring and forced Christa, which was more difficult than expected, to go down into the cold stream and stand right in front of a beautiful waterfall for their usual “selfie”. Two of Christa and Perry’s good friends were actually standing by with cameras ready to capture the proposal! Perry got down on one knee and Christa said “YES”! Christa thought that was the end of the surprise, but was shocked when she walked into their home and a whole party was set up with her family, friends and lots of champagne!
Our couples favorite moment from their Blue Heron Pines wedding? Seeing one another for the first time as Christa walked down the aisle. As their photographer, my favorite moment was when they sneaked out with me during golden hour for a few sunset shots, we had the perfect sun for it!
Planning their Blue Heron Pines wedding was tough for these two, they did everything out of state as they currently live in North Carolina. But now that the stress of planning their Blue Heron Pines wedding is over and that they have finished honeymooning in St. Lucia, these two are looking forward to continuing their travels and eventually starting a family.
