Cake Smash Photoshoot | Rory’s 1st Birthday Photos

Earlier this Summer, I had the opportunity to photograph Rory’s 1st birthday cake smash photoshoot! It feels like I have known Amanda and Ryan for years, they live in the same town as me, I photographed their engagement session, wedding day, maternity photos, Rory’s newborn session (see below) and finally her first birthday cake smash photoshoot! I absolutely love watching my wedding couples grow into sweet family’s and this couple is no different!

Before my 1st birthday models dive into their delicious cake at their cake smash photoshoot, I love taking them to a nearby park so we can do a few family photos before the real fun begins. For Rory’s photo shoot, we started out at Croft Farms in Cherry Hill where I was able to get some adorable photos of Rory solo and with mom and dad.

Finally, it was time for the studio shots! Before Rory happily dove into her cake, we started the session with a few additional photos of Rory and then it was time for cake! I absolutely loved this cake smash photoshoot as her parents gave me full reign on designing her set! I had a vision of whites and greenery and the outfit they put her in complimented my set so well!
