WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
April 11, 2017
A couple of months ago, I photographed Chris & Christina’s Grange Estate Engagement Session on a very warm February day! Chris and Christina first met at work, she had been with the company for 10 years and he started about 5 years later. They were friends and she always felt a strong connection to him, finally that connection became stronger and they started hanging out more. I love that they share so many similarities and interests – not only do they share the same name but they also share the same birthday!
Christina always knew he was the one, she says “He always made me feel like I could be myself around him. I feel safe and loved when I am with him and have always felt that way.”
The proposal was on 11/18/16, from Christina: “One of my favorite Disney movies growing up was Beauty & the Beast. A few weeks before we got engaged, Disney released Beauty & the Beast from the vault and it was available to watch. I had been begging him to watch it for weeks. One night after work we planned a date night, we went to a small BYOB near our office and then headed home for a quiet night. He mentioned watching Beauty & the Beast and of course I jumped at the idea. We turned off all the lights, poured ourselves a glass of wine and watched the movie. He was so calm and cool, it just seemed like an ordinary night. Little did I know what really was going on in his head. After the movie, he went downstairs and when he came back up, he had the rose lit up in a glass case with the most beautiful ring inside, he got down on one knee and he asked me to marry him. It was my own little fairytale. It was the most amazing night and something I will never forget.”
When Christina and Chris are not wedding planning, they are going out to eat, drinking wine, and playing with their pup, Lady. These Disney fanatics are planning an elegant fairy tale wedding, which ties in perfectly with a winter – Christmas – New Years theme since their date is December 30th, 2017. After the wedding, they are looking forward to starting a family as well as continuing traveling and experiencing new things together.
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
One thing I have come to realize during this process is you can’t please everyone. So, you need to be true to you and your fiancé’s wishes. It’s your day and that’s all that matters.
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
I can’t wait for the first time I see him in my dress. I know it’s going to be an emotional moment for both of us and I can’t wait to experience that. We are also writing our own vows so I am really looking forward to saying those words to him.
Scroll through to view more from this adorable Grange Estate engagement session and check back early next year for a full recap of their day!
xoxo
