On October 19th, 2024, I photographed Emily and Spencer’s Country House at Bluestone wedding at Bluestone Country Club in Blue Bell, PA! Emily & Spencer had a gorgeous fall day for their wedding and their color palette of desert rose, blush and navy complimented their stunning venue perfectly. Emily and Spencer had a jam packed day, the day began in the venue’s bridal suite for Emily and at a nearby hotel for Spencer – they both exchanged sweet cards to one another and before the couple’s first look, Emily had an emotional first look with her Dad. These two had a church ceremony, but they decided to go against tradition and had an adorable first look before we departed for the church! We also captured bridal party and family portraits before boarding the trolley to the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler, PA. Once they were married, we captured a few more portraits of them at the church and as well as some golden hour portraits of these two before they gave us a sneak peek of their first dance (dips, lifts and cold sparklers!). Once the reception began, it was a fun night! Their first dance was epic, their speeches were both sweet and hilarious and these two never left the dance floor! Throughout the day, they thought of every detail from signature drinks, mocktails, a picturesque trolley, their decor and even their pretzel favors, everything was perfectly thought out and I loved capturing it all!
Emily and Spencer met on a dating app during the pandemic. Their first date was in July of 2020 and they went kayaking at Mercer Lake. Spencer says he knew Emily was the one when they went on a tubing date down the Delaware because she was “not too pretty to get into the river with me!”. Emily knew Spencer was the one after her first visit to Spencer’s apartment when he surprised her with a home cooked Italian meal. They’ve enjoyed lots of chicken cacciatore since that day!
Engaged on 04/08/2023, the proposal: “We were heading to Emily’s parents for Easter and Mercer Lake, the place we had our first date was on the way — Spencer made a stop and took Emily on a walk to the gazebo where he got down on one knee. It was a chilly and overcast day so not many people were at the park. Spencer arranged for a hidden photographer who captured the moment beautifully. Afterwards Spencer surprised Emily with both her parents and his at the Grounds for Sculpture for dinner.”
When Emily and Spencer weren’t planning their Country House at Bluestone Wedding, they love to hike, go to the beach, travel and going out to eat. Now married, their dreams include raising a family and taking their kids back to all their favorite places and seeing it through their eyes. Emily and Spencer’s advice for couple’s currently planning their weddings is to begin planning early so that you can savor the moments leading up to the big day! Have fun and find time to relax!
They were most looking forward to starting their forever surrounded by all their family and friends! These two honeymooned in St Lucia!
Thank you to Emily and Spencer for choosing me to photograph your Country House at Bluestone Wedding!
