On October 22nd, I photographed Jen and Gregg’s Fall Wedding at Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Jen and Gregg had a modern wedding with stunning lake views and beautiful autumn scenery as the backdrop for their day. They had a color palette of navy, with gold accents which complimented the colors of the fall foliage perfectly, these two were married during peak foliage!
Their day was filled with touching surprises, Jen purchased Gregg a Rolex watch that she gave to him as a gift, this was especially sentimental as their late dog, Cooper was with her when she bought it and the money used to purchase it was from his late Grandmother! Their sweet dog Rhylee was included so much into their wedding day and they honored their late dog, Cooper throughout. Rhylee was included in their couple and bridal portraits, she was walked down the aisle, they danced with her, she sat with them during dinner and was even introduced into the reception with the maid of honor and best man! Once these two exchanged their own personal vows, it was time for their lively reception – they had a romantic first dance, three parents dances, a hora, several sweet speeches, a special surprise dance where Jen danced with each of her three brothers, a photo dash with each table, and finally, Jen gave her bouquet away to the next sister in her family who will be getting married next!
Jen and Gregg met on hinge. They had both responded positively to a comment Gregg had on working with people that use hearing aids. Jen also liked the sunflower fact that Gregg had posted and that he had a picture with a golden doodle. Conversation was great from the start! Their first date was at Battleview Brewing Company in Toms River on 2/26/21.
Jen knew Gregg was the one when she knew she could be her authentic self and when her dogs started calling Gregg dad and he formally adopted them. Gregg knew Jen was the one when he realized he could be open and no longer felt guarded like he was the past.
Engaged on 09/23/2022, the proposal from Jen: “Gregg was able to reserve a limited ticket to attend the sunrise on top of Cadillac Mountain up in Acadia National Park in Maine. It was cold, windy and we were surrounded by a large group of people. We were there with Cooper and Rhylee, our two goldendoodles. Gregg got down on one knee as the sun rose, and it was beautiful. Best part that followed the proposal was our hike around Jordan Pond sharing the news with any strangers who would be willing to listen to us and share in our joy.”
When these two weren’t planning their Fall Wedding at Indian Trail Club, they love going to their favorite diner in Eatontown. On Sunday’s they enjoy watching football and hoping that their parlays win. During the week you can typically find Gregg in the kitchen using his newest gadget to cook Jen a fantastic meal. They also enjoy gardening and are looking forward to having a spot in the Tinton Falls Community Garden.
Now married, their ultimate dream is to own a large plot of land in Maine, where they can raise their children and five dogs. They want to be able to travel together and create new adventures for each other, but they also want to have lots of dogs along with one child, possibly two. They are excited to get old together, they both work with the geriatric population as health care professionals so they laugh about how they will be when they’re old!
Their advice for couple’s currently planning their weddings is to communicate! And to be open and flexible to change. Jen and Gregg were most looking forward to having their family and friends by their side. And for the the little surprises they had in mind, the small personal touches, and their vows.
Jen and Gregg had an amazing honeymoon to Aruba, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your Fall Wedding at Indian Trail Club!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
