WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
November 8, 2015
On September 26th, I photographed Juliana and Roberto’s Blue Heron Pines Wedding.
I first chatted on the phone with Juliana and Roberto over a year ago and from that phone call I could sense her smile and their excitement about getting married. A few weeks later, we did their engagement session in Central Park and I had a blast getting to know them. By the time their wedding day arrived, I felt like I was photographing old friends and I couldn’t have been more excited.
Juliana and her bridesmaids started the day at a nearby hotel. The room was calm and filled with excitement when I entered. The girls had just finished hair and were quickly working on the final touches on their makeup. The girls all had matching robes and their matching smiles were contagious. I had so much fun photographing this relaxed and adorable group!
While I had a blast with the girls, my second shooter Alex photographed the guys who were equally as adorable and filled with excitement.
When we arrived at the venue, we jumped right into the first look. It was the perfect first look, these two were emotional and glowing with happiness, I loved shooting every minute of it!
After the first look was over, we jumped in the golf carts and drove to the Willow tree, this is one of my favorite spots at this venue to photograph at and the wind was in our favor, it blew Juliana’s dress in a beautiful and dramatic way, I loved these photos!
The theme of Juliana and Roberto’s wedding was travel as Roberto is from Guatemala and his friends and family traveled many miles to experience their wedding. I loved all their touches and especially loved that parts of their ceremony were in both English and Spanish as well as many of their signage throughout the venue.
One of the highlights of their reception was the surprise dance performance Roberto and his groomsmen put on for Juliana. They had the dance floor packed and did a cheorographed routine to 3-4 songs, some of which included “Uptown Funk” and “Sexy and I know It”, the guests were screaming as though we were at a boy band concert! It was so fun to photograph and the colorful confetti flying through the air was the icing on the cake! See the video by Tone Media Group Here!
I had a blast photographing this wedding and it was an honor to get to know Roberto and Juliana, congratulations!
