WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
July 22, 2022
On June 9th, I photographed Lucas and Erica’s La Massaria at Bella Vista wedding in Gilbertsville, PA. Erica and Lucas knew from the start that they wanted a rustic wedding and when they found their venue, they loved that La Massaria at Bella Vista was more of modern rustic and it was exactly what they were looking for! Their modern rustic day had a color palette of shades of blue, they had a traditional ceremony at St. Helena’s Church in Blue Bell, PA followed by stunning portraits on the golf course and a lively dance floor!
Erica and Lucas unofficially met when they had a class together freshman year at West Chester University and when Erica worked in his dorm sophomore year. Officially, they met during a night out in West Chester. Erica walked up to him at a bar and made conversation about the Thursday night football game on TV! Their first date was at Ram’s Head Bar in West Chester in September of 2015, one week after they met.
Erica knew Lucas was the one when he didn’t hesitate when she told him to meet her parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins all at the same time on Christmas Eve, he walked in like he had known them forever!
Engaged on 12/03/2021, the proposal from Erica: “Lucas came home one day from school and insisted that we set up the Christmas tree in our apartment. I was oblivious and went along with it. After we set up the tree, he pulled out the last ornament, which was my engagement ring in a personalized ring box ornament.”
Erica and Lucas, both high school teachers love to watch sports together (Lucas is a die-hard Eagles fan, Erica is a die-hard Villanova basketball fan), going to sporting events and concerts, and even watching concert DVDs on a Friday night. Now married, their dreams include growing a family in the future, they say they both come from loving families and want to have this experience for themselves as well.
Their advice for couple’s currently planning is take the time to enjoy each step. Sit down with each other on a date night and look through the venues, photographers, and even listen to the bands together. It makes the experience that much more enjoyable! They were most looking forward to celebrating with family and friends and enjoying the time with everyone at their La Massaria at Bella Vista wedding.
These two honeymooned in Key West, thank you to Erica and Lucas for choosing me to photograph your La Massaria at Bella Vista Wedding!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
