On September 7th, 2024, I photographed Hannah and Jim’s LBI National Wedding in Egg Harbor Township, NJ! Hannah and Jim had a beautiful Summerlike day with a color palette of dusty blue and white. They had the most perfect personalized ceremony filled with laughs, happy tears and a sand ceremony. There was actually a threat of rain right at the ceremony start time (with gigantic rain clouds!), so the venue bumped it up a few minutes to beat the rain and we did! Minus a few rain sprinkles and a few gusts of wind, we made it through remaining dry. The night ended with a lively reception filled with sweet speeches, a stunning sunset, a crowded dance floor and the night ended with the bride’s brother jumping on the microphone to sing a song with the band!
Hannah and Jim’s first date was in November of 2019 at a pub on the upper east side in New York City, they had a few drinks and spilt chicken fingers and got to know each other.
Hannah loves Jim’s dedication to everything he does from planting tomatoes on their balcony (with no sunlight) to reaching his career goals as a pilot to convincing Hannah to wake up early on weekends.
The proposal: Jim has taken Hannah flying down the Hudson a few times and suggested they go out on an August Saturday with their friends Ben & Emily. Hannah thought this was a regular day of flying followed by brunch at Sunset Pub & Grill – a restaurant in Lincoln Park airport. They got amazing photos of the NYC skyline and then headed into brunch. While landing Hannah saw many people at the gate of the runway watching the planes go by. As they taxied to a spot, Hannah realized she knew all the people standing on the runway – it was her and Jim’s family and friends. This is when Hannah started to figure out what was going on. Jim then got out of the airplane with Hannah and got on one knee to ask the big question. Hannah said Yes and then they had a few drinks with family and friends at the restaurant!
When these two weren’t planning their LBI National wedding, they like to try new things together and explore new places. With Jim’s flight benefits – it makes traveling very easy! They also like to cook together, watch the Giants, and ski.
Thank you to Hannah and Jim for choosing me to photograph your LBI National wedding!
