WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
September 13, 2017
A little over a month ago, I photographed Alyssa and Eric’s perfect Long Beach Island Engagement session. Alyssa and Eric are college sweethearts who met at Rowan University in the first week of move in. They struck up a friendship when Alyssa asked Eric to join her friends in a card game of Egyptian Rat Screw in the lounge of their dorm. They developed a relationship as friends and continued to hang out together until one rainy evening, Eric was finally able to nervously ask out Alyssa. A week later on April 7, 2011, Alyssa and Eric had their first date at Applebee’s. It might not have been the most romantic restaurant choice, but from the first time going out with Alyssa, Eric knew he always wanted to spend time with her.
Alyssa and Eric were engaged on May 20, 2016. The proposal, from Eric: “On our first anniversary I took Alyssa to Tropicana in Atlantic City. On our 5th Anniversary I decided to take Alyssa back to the spot where we took pictures together on our first anniversary on the beach. I made a book titled “Our Adventure” filled with some of our favorite memorable moments together. On the last page I asked Alyssa if she would marry me and continue our adventure.”
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
Try not to get stressed about every little decision. Enjoy every moment of the planning process because it only happens once in a lifetime.
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Eric: To see all of our planning come to fruition, to see Alyssa in her dress, and to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family.
Alyssa: I’m looking forward to celebrating with friends and family…and of course the food and cake!
These two are planning a classic wedding at Hotel Chalfonte in Cape May, New Jersey – my absolute favorite location for a wedding! I cannot wait to see these two again for their Cape May wedding in June <3
