Reading Terminal Market Wedding | Philadelphia, PA | Amanda & Sean

On October 9th, I photographed Amanda and Sean’s Reading Terminal Market Wedding in Philadelphia, PA. Amanda and Sean are one of my many 2021 couple’s who had originally planned on getting married in 2020. My happy couple renewed their vows in an intimate ceremony at Vaux Studios and then had a fun, relaxed and very unique wedding reception at Reading Terminal!

My happy couple met on Bumble, Sean said he liked “rum and cokes” in his profile, yet Amanda has never seen him drink one! Luckily she overlooked that line because he looked so cute in his soccer photo. For their first date, they walked along the river trail to Parks on Tap which was a beer garden set up along the Schuylkill River near the Art Museum. It was 95 degrees and they were sweating through their clothes but still had an amazing time.

Engaged on 09/25/2019, the proposal from Amanda: “Sean proposed on one of the many adorable bridges in Amsterdam. We had a fun night of dinner and enough cocktails for him to get up the courage so we’ll never be able to remember what bridge it was!”

Their unique wedding day began in Old City Philadelphia for their portraits, we stopped at the 18th Century Garden, Merchant Exchange Building, The First and Second Banks and Washington Square for their couple portraits. We had a threat of rain all day, but we were lucky and only felt a couple of rain drops! After portraits were complete, we hopped in an Uber for their intimate wedding ceremony at Vaux Studio performed by the groom’s sister is law. They read their own vows and speeches by the groom’s mother and the bride’s father were given. After the ceremony we walked to City Hall for a few more family photos, stopping at the median for a last few portraits of my bride and groom on the median of South Broad Street, you cannot get married in Philadelphia without this iconic photo! Their wedding reception at Reading Terminal Market was one of the most unique wedding experiences I have ever photographed! Amanda nd Sean were able to handpick the restaurants that were served to their guests and the food was amazing. Their live band kept the dance floor moving and I had so much fun capturing this lively crowd. After 3 (!) wedding dates, these two deserved an amazing day!

Their advice for future couples planning is to not wait until two weeks before the wedding to decide you want to do a choreographed dance! They were most looking forward to getting to be around all of their friends and family after such a long time apart. Amanda and Sean are currently honeymooning in Hawaii! They are spending their time on the beach, hiking and scuba diving in Maui.
