Sayen Gardens Maternity Session, Heather | Newborn Session, Trevor

Last year, I had the honor of continuing to capture the Smith Family with the arrival of their baby boy, Trevor. But before I photographed Trevor at his in home newborn session in October, I captured Heather’s Sayen Gardens maternity session in Hamilton, NJ in August!

I have a lot of history with the Smith Family, I first met Heather and Matt when Heather served as a bridesmaid in her sister Brittany’s wedding, then I photographed their engagement session (also at Sayen Gardens!) followed by their destination wedding in Mexico, so when Heather reached out for me to capture the next journey of their lives, I was so excited!

I met Heather and Matt for her Sayen Gardens maternity session on an August evening, a glowing Heather wore a gorgeous green maternity dress which complimented Sayen Gardens beautifully. We walked all over the grounds for her maternity session and even witnessed another couple getting married! I adored seeing how excited these two were and couldn’t wait to meet their baby boy in a couple of short months.

In October, I met Heather and Matt at their home for Trevor’s in home newborn session and after a weeklong stay in the NICU, this family was happy to be settling into home. Trevor was the sweetest little guy and I loved seeing both Heather and Matt snuggle him nonstop in the photos. After we did family photos in their living room, bedroom and nursery, I finally photographed Trevor solo in some of my favorite props.
