WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
December 1, 2020
Earlier this year, I photographed Nicole and Christian’s session at Longwood Gardens! My happily engaged couple first met the summer before their Sophomore year of college where they quickly became good friends. Christian came to visit Nicole and her friends at college a few times and this is when they began to hit it off. Christian asked Nicole to be his girlfriend on November 30th when picking up donuts after having dinner with his parents. Their first official date was on Nicole’s birthday, December 2nd. They had spent a lot of time together before this, but hadn’t gone on an official date prior. He picked her up at Stockton College and they went to dinner in Atlantic City. The food was delicious and they had a blast.
The proposal: Christian invited both immediate families to DiMateo Winery in Hammonton, NJ where they enjoyed a few glasses of wine together when Christian asked Nicole to go back to his house. Upon arriving at the house Christian had set up a large cut out of Cinderella’s Castle that he made himself. He was standing in front of it when she walked in. The castle had a cutout Mickey head in the middle and when Nicole removed it she saw the ring in a box, also built by Christian, and “Will You Marry Me?” written on the Mickey cutout. All of their family and friends were there to celebrate and share this special time with them.
When Nicole and Christian aren’t planning their rustic and romantic Scotland Run Golf Club wedding, they love to craft and build things together, which they can’t wait to incorporate into their wedding! My happy couple says there will be lots of wood decor created by them! After they say, “I do”, they cannot wait to start a family, they always dream about their future family and all of the fun things that come with starting a family.
Any advice for future couple’s planning?
We planned our wedding for a little over two years and this was perfect. We are able to enjoy all of the planning without the extra stress to get things done quickly. We love talking about the plans, but like to also take breaks from it and enjoy just being engaged.
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
We are most excited to celebrate with our family and friends. We love having everyone together, enjoying each other’s company.
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
