South Jersey Backyard Wedding | Clayton, NJ | Nicole & Zeb

A little over a week ago, I photographed Nicole and Zeb’s South Jersey Backyard Wedding in Clayton, NJ. My happy couple have been together for several years and even have three children together, so this wedding day was a long time coming and it was the perfect day! The location for their wedding was stunning, Nicole’s mother lives in a lake house overlooking Silver Lake, so when it was time for her and Zeb to plan their wedding, I am not surprised they chose this quaint location for their vows.

All week, the forecast said it was going to be a very hot May day, but we were very lucky and had beautiful weather with a breeze that brought comforting temps! Nicole and Zeb had the most laid back day and after they had their first look and we used every inch of the property for couple photos, they stood together on a dock overlooking the lake and exchanged vows. Their three children were their bridal party, so their daughter walked Zeb down the aisle and their sons walked Nicole down. After they said “I do”, they had a perfect cocktail hour filled with delicious food and a few just married portraits of my bride and groom. After their reception began, my couple was introduced to their tented reception and had a sweet first dance where they invited their children to join.
