South Jersey Cake Smash Photographer | Moorestown, NJ

A couple of months ago, I was Jack’s South Jersey Cake Smash Photographer when I photographed his first birthday session at my studio in Moorestown, NJ!

I first met Kira and Matt when they attended a wedding I photographed and was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer! I photographed their wedding back in May of 2022 and have since photographed their maternity session, Jack’s newborn session, a milestone session and finally his cake smash session!

The backdrop his parents picked were “sunny one” which featured a ONE sign and a sun with orange, yellow and red balloons. Before the session, we did a few mommy and me photos of Jack and his mom, Kira at the Community House of Moorestown and indoors where we utilized the lifestyle area in my studio that features a bed, a fireplace and gorgeous natural lighting. Once those special photos were complete, I photographed Jack on a plain backdrop before he dove into his cake on the Sunny One set. This active boy LOVED his cake and he happily dove in and destroyed it! I captured so many smiles and we laughed so much. I loved this cake smash session!

And funny fact regarding this session…I always keep a few outfits in studio for babies who fit in clothing 6 months – 18 months, Jack actually had a blow out in the outfit he was supposed to wear for the mommy and me photos, thankfully I had something on hand for him to change into – crisis averted!
