WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
June 28, 2018
Last weekend, I photographed Elizabeth and Nick’s Spring Lake Wedding at Buona Sera Palazzo in Ocean, New Jersey. We once again had the threat of rain all day and after a morning of it, my streak of good luck continues and we were able to accomplish all our post-ceremony portraits outdoors at the spots these two wanted. Elizabeth and Nick had a traditional ceremony at St. Mark’s Church in Sea Girt, NJ followed by portraits at Spring Lake and finally, a simple and elegant reception at Buona Sera Palazzo!
I met Elizabeth and Nick in Asbury Park for their engagement session back in December of last year. The special reason we chose Asbury Park for their engagement session was that it holds special meaning to them, my happy couple first met at Johnny Macs right in Asbury! After making Nick wait over a week for their first date due to Elizabeth’s work schedule, their first date consisted of a walk around a local park followed by lunch. They enjoyed themselves so much and didn’t want the date to end and they continued it with a walk to the beach. Right after they met, Nick had a lot of traveling scheduled but knew Elizabeth was something special. It wasn’t until he left that he realized they were meant to spend their lives together. Nick changed his plans and sped up his travels and Elizabeth was able to go travel with him for a few weeks.
Elizabeth and Nick were engaged on 09/23/2017, Nick proposed at the Point Pleasant boardwalk and gathered all of Elizabeth’s friends and family for a celebration after, it was perfect!
Their Spring Lake wedding day was absolutely perfect. These two laughed and giggled at one another all day and Nick had some of the best dance floor moves I have ever seen out of all my groom’s! Their blush pink color scheme was perfectly used throughout the day, between the gorgeous peony flowers in Elizabeth’s bouquet and the stunning shade of pink on her maid of honor’s dress and her friend’s of honor in assorted shades of pink all worked so perfectly together. After a few family and bridal party photos at the church, we drove to Spring Lake for romantic couple photos. I absolutely love the way Nick looks at Elizabeth and the sweet way he smiled at her made it so easy to photograph these two!
After Nick stopped his travels and returned to New Jersey, he was in a terrible accident. They are so grateful that he survived and is well and that his injuries have healed so quickly giving them a chance to spend their lives together. Elizabeth and Nick couldn’t can’t wait to share all the love and appreciation that they have for each other on their wedding day and to celebrate with their friends and family! These two are currently on their honeymoon in St. Lucia, I hope you guys are having a fabulous time!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
