WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
September 15, 2023
Last weekend, I photographed Danielle and Trevor’s Summer Wedding at Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ! Danielle and Trevor met at The College of New Jersey back in 2016. They were both math majors and happened to be in the same data mining class, they had mutual friends in the class and they often did homework and had study sessions together with a big group. Eventually, they started hanging out as just the two of them and the rest is history! Danielle knew Trevor was the one after he got a job in Pennsylvania after college graduation. After a year of living in separate states (Trevor in PA and Danielle in NJ), Danielle decided to look for a new job in Pennsylvania to be closer to Trevor. She’s a Jersey girl at heart, so making the move to PA was a big step for her and a sign to both that they wanted to marry each other!
Engaged 6/6/2022, the proposal from Danielle: “Trevor and I took a vacation to Myrtle Beach last June. The vacation almost didn’t happen because I ended up getting Covid right before the trip. On our first full day there, we made reservations at a nice Italian restaurant for dinner and Trevor suggested we go for a walk on the beach near the restaurant before we ate. At first I said no because I was wearing heels and didn’t want my feet to get sandy but eventually decided we might as well.
While we were getting ready for dinner, I started getting slightly suspicious. Trevor was steaming his shorts to get the wrinkles out (something he doesn’t normally do) and I began thinking tonight might be the night! We parked on a street near the restaurant and began walking on the beach along the ocean. Shortly thereafter, Trevor got down on one knee and popped the question! We called our families after and then made our way to the restaurant.”
When Danielle and Trevor weren’t planning their Summer Wedding at Bradford Estate, they love their ritual of enjoying their morning coffee together. They also enjoy watching sports, going for walks, and doing puzzles/puzzle games in their free time.
Danielle was most looking forward to getting to marry Trevor and having all of their friends and family in the same place to celebrate with. Now married, Danielle and Trevor hope to buy a house and start a family – but first, adopting a dog! They hope to do some traveling and are working on planning a trip to Europe in late spring/early summer. Their advice for couples currently planning their weddings is to take some time at the beginning to enjoy being newly engaged and really think about what you want in a wedding. Don’t feel pressure to conform to the typical wedding ‘norms’. Taking on planning together makes it fun and arranging monthly date nights to discuss wedding plans is a great way to enjoy the process!
These two are off on a romantic honeymoon to Grenada later this Fall! Thank you to Danielle and Trevor for choosing me to photograph your Summer Wedding at Bradford Estate!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
