Erika and Jeremy’s wedding day at The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ was the perfect blend of modern, coastal charm and heartfelt moments. From their rooftop ceremony overlooking the ocean to their lively dance floor that didn’t stop all night long, their celebration was everything a summer wedding at the Jersey Shore should be.
My couple chose not to do a first look, so their ceremony was the very first time Jeremy saw his bride walk down the aisle and it was such a beautiful, emotional moment. Their ceremony took place on the hotel’s rooftop, with the ocean stretching out in the background. The color palette of sage green paired perfectly with the natural coastal setting, keeping the vibe elegant yet fresh.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was Jeremy’s son, Ethan. As the ring bearer, he had an important role, but he also quickly became the king of silly faces throughout the night, keeping everyone laughing. He truly brought such a sweet, joyful energy to the celebration.
Since the beach was just steps away from the venue, we knew we had to take advantage of it for portraits. Thanks to Hurricane Erin, the beach was practically empty that evening—giving Erika and Jeremy the perfect backdrop for romantic, windswept portraits without the summer crowds. The timing couldn’t have been better. Had their wedding been just one day earlier, the storm would have completely changed their plans. Instead, we were blessed with stunning light and the most beautiful skies and big waves.
We also made use of the hotel rooftop, the lively Asbury boardwalk, and the hotel’s interior for photos. Each spot gave us a different mood and energy, and together they told the story of the day in such a dynamic way.
After the heartfelt ceremony, it was time to party and Erika and Jeremy certainly delivered. Their live band set the tone for an incredible night, and the couple’s first dance included spins, dips, and plenty of cheers from their guests. Sweet speeches followed, but once the dance floor opened, Erika and Jeremy hardly left it.
Erika and Jeremy’s wedding at The Asbury Hotel was a celebration of love, family, and joy—with a little help from the weather gods. From their rooftop vows to their portraits on an empty beach, everything came together in the most beautiful way.
Thank you to Erika and Jeremy for choosing me to photograph your Asbury Hotel wedding!
