Last weekend, I photographed Kate and Erik’s The Bradford Estate wedding in Hainesport, NJ! Kate and Erik had a beautiful shade of light sage as the color palette for their stunning Summer wedding.
Kate and Erik met at the gym where Erik was working right after college in 2015. Kate frequented the gym often so her and Erik quickly developed a friendship. Their friend groups began hanging out and shortly after Erik asked her to play on his team in a whiffle ball league he was in. After countless nights spent at the indoor turf field Erik asked her out on their first date. Their first date was indoor glow in the dark mini golf! After mini golf they went to a local bar for a few drinks.
Kate knew Erik was the one during their first trip to Disney. It became clear to her that they shared the same morals and values and their love for one another was undeniable. Erik says he knew Kate was the one when she continued to agree to come to whiffle ball games time and time again even though they sometimes lasted until after 11pm!
Engaged on 07/10/2018, the proposal from Kate: “We were vacationing with Erik’s family in Hilton Head, South Carolina. One night before heading to dinner his sister and brother in law told us they wanted to go take a photo for their one year anniversary at a certain spot by a lake near the golf course. Once we got there we all decided to take photos together and right after the photo of Erik and I he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! This vacation is definitely one we will always remember!”
Kate and Erik had a beautiful Summer day for their The Bradford Estate wedding. The day started in the bridal suite of the venue where all the ladies had their hair and makeup done in matching green robes. Once everyone’s hair and makeup was complete, we had some fun sipping champagne before it was time for Kate to get in her gorgeous Kleinfeld’s dress. Once she was dressed, it was time for her and Erik’s sweet first look, they decided to do a back to back first look and I loved capturing it! Once they saw one another, we used every inch of the Bradford Estate for portraits. I love photographing at the Bradford Estate as the grounds are always stunning and the light green and navy color palette that my couple chose was the perfect color combination for a Summer wedding. Their ceremony was short and sweet and highly personal with Erik’s brother in law being the officiant. Once married, it was time to party! SCE Event Group kept the dance floor packed and this group danced all night. I absolutely loved capturing Kate and Erik’s the Bradford Estate wedding!
Now that Kate and Erik are finished planing their The Bradford Estate wedding, they hope to continue traveling. They have plans to renovate a few areas of their home over the next year and they are adding golden doodle to their family soon! They hope to have a few children and to take them to Disney World as often as they can.
Kate and Erik are currently on their honeymoon onboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas sailing the Mediterranean from Barcelona! Thank you to Kate and Erik for allowing me to photograph your The Bradford Estate wedding!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
