WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
October 9, 2020
On October 1st, I photographed Kristin and Patrick’s The Hamilton Manor Wedding in Hamilton, NJ. Kristin and Patrick were another one of my couples who’s original wedding plans were affected by the pandemic, they had originally planned a May 23, 2020 wedding but were forced to reschedule to the Fall and I am so glad they were able to keep their wedding in 2020! They had a beautiful Fall day for their rustic Hamilton Manor wedding and they had a color palette of blue which perfectly complimented their outdoor ceremony and their reception in the open barn on site.
Kristin and Patrick met at Laurita winery, she was working in her Aunt’s food truck “Bacon Broads” during the bacon festival. They were friendly with the Fire Marshall, Joe, since he had to check all of the food trucks prior to the start of the festival. Pat was working overtime on the ambulance that Sunday when he and his coworkers decided to go to the festival for lunch. They were lined up in front of their truck to order and Kristin mentioned to her Aunt how one of the men standing there was cute, her Aunt isn’t one to let something like that go, so she yelled over to the Fire Marshall to get his attention. While Kristin instantly regretted telling her Aunt this, it turned out the cute guy’s was named Pat and he was single! The Fire Marshall got him to come to their food truck to introduce them and Pat was informed Kristin was also single. Filled with embarrassment, their radios went off and Pat had to leave, a few minutes later, Pat texted Joe asking to get her number and he texted her a few days later and the rest is history!
Their first date was dinner at Marcello’s in Bordentown, Pat insisted on picking her up even though she tried to meet him there. After he pulled into her parent’s driveway, she ran out of the house and he got out of the car saying he wanted to meet her parents, she thought absolutely not and off to dinner they went. Dinner went so well, they went out for ice cream after!
Kristin always had a feeling Patrick was the one. Their relationship always felt comfortable and familiar, he was easy to talk to and so handsome and sweet. But when he didn’t even wait a few days after their first date to ask her out again, and it was to go out on Taco Tuesday, she was in love!
Engaged on 03/02/2018, the proposal from Kristin: “We went to Florida for a long weekend with friends. The plan was to look for seashells on the beach at Sanibel Island during sunset before we went to dinner because this beach had “the best” shells. It was getting late and we were having a few drinks in the kitchen while waiting for our friends to finish getting ready. The sun was beginning to set and we almost didn’t make it to the beach with any daylight left. Pat was so nervous because now he had to rush. We were on the beach for a few minutes when he dropped to one knee and proposed when it was almost dark.”
Kristin and Patrick’s beautiful Fall wedding at the Hamilton Manor began at a nearby hotel for the ladies. After Kristin was in her stunning Essense of Australia wedding gown, it was time for their first look. Patrick’s reaction to seeing her is one of the reasons why I love first looks so much, he was so excited to see her and after seeing the way he looked at her, you could just tell her loved her so much! Another favorite part of their the Hamilton Manor wedding day was their son. Kristin and Patrick have a one year old son named Jackson and I loved seeing how much they involved him in their day, he is clearly loved by both sides of their family!
They had an outdoor ceremony at the Hamilton Manor where they read their own vows, after they said “I do” we captured a few just married portraits before their barn reception began. After their romantic first dance, parent dances and speeches, Kristin changed into a form fitting gown and these two never left the dance floor. It was an amazing rustic outdoor wedding and I was so happy to capture it!
Now that they have finished planning their the Hamilton Manor, they have just arrived home from a perfect mini-moon in LBI. Thank you Kristin and Patrick for allowing me to capture your Hamilton Manor wedding!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
