WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >

A little over a week ago, I photographed Kelly and Mark’s The Mill Lakeside Manor Wedding in Spring Lake, NJ. Kelly and Mark had a beautiful Summer day for their romantic, timeless, and elegant wedding. They had a church ceremony in Lavallette, followed by portraits by bay and at their venue and then a nonstop dance floor! I am so excited to share their The Mill Lakeside Manor wedding.
Kelly and Mark first met down the shore at an arcade called Barnacle Bills when they were 14 years old. At the arcade, they chatted for a bit and ended up meeting up on the beach the next day. Soon after they met, they developed a close friend group at the shore so they spent most of their weekends together. After two short summers of knowing one other, their relationship began. They attended two different high schools, but managed a long distance relationship for their last two years of high school. And yes, Kelly says that their mom’s drove them to all their dates before they could drive!
Engaged on 10/21/2017, the proposal from Kelly: “Mark proposed on the beach on a very warm Saturday morning in October of 2017. In the off season, Mark and I enjoy taking walks by the beach, so going for a casual walk wasn’t out of the ordinary for us. Mark hired a photographer who pretended to ask us if we wanted our picture taken. As soon as they asked, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After Mark proposed, we walked back to my house where I was surprised by all of my family standing outside clapping. They had decorated the house for us and we celebrated the beginning of our engagement.” Last September, I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session at the place they love the most, Ortley Beach!
Kelly and Mark’s The Mill Lakeside Manor wedding was the perfect blend of romantic, timeless, and elegant with a dusty rose and navy color palette with gold accents. Kelly started the day at her sister in law’s house in Brick while Mark started the day at a nearly hotel. I absolutely loved capturing my happy bride with all her bridesmaids, Kelly had one of those contagious smiles and just radiated happiness. This happiness continued throughout the day during their church ceremony in Lavallette, followed by an adorable bubble exit at the church. We continued the day with portraits in Lavallette and then at their venue. Once their reception began, they had a romantic first dance followed by sweet speeches by family. Once all formalities had occurred this group partied the night away and I loved capturing every moment of their The Mill Lakeside Manor wedding.
Kelly and Mark are currently honeymooning in Barbados! Now that they are finished planning their The Mill Lakeside Manor wedding, they hope to adopt a Golden Doodle and to travel over the next few years, they hope to road trip from New Jersey to California and see the States. Then they would like to see Europe and Australia.
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
