Last weekend, I photographed Nicole and Haralambos’ gorgeous winter Watermill Caterers wedding in Smithtown, New York. These two had the perfect brisk day, from their beautiful flowers by Towers Flowers to Nicole’s stunning Hayley Paige gown to a huge surprise at the reception, this day had it all and I am so excited to share!
I started the day at Nicole’s parents home in Brookhaven, NY. I absolutely adored photographing all her pretty details, between her pretty Minted invitation suite to her shoes, plus Haralambos’ ring was so unique! Once Nicole was dressed and had a sweet first look with her father it was time for her and her Dad to take a vintage car from her parents home to Islip Grange Park for the first look. At this rustic location, we were able to get so many gorgeous shots of my bride and groom and Nicole’s cathedral veil absolutely stole the spotlight every single time the wind grabbed it!
Their Watermill Caterers ceremony was perfect and sweet. Since the last time I photographed a wedding at this modern Long Island wedding venue, they have updated everything and this room was brand new for me. Not only was it perfect for family photos, but it was the perfect backdrop for their sweet ceremony that included their own written vows, lots of tears by the bridal party and family as well as a sweet single rose exchange between the bride and groom. I absolutely adored photographing this gorgeous ceremony!
Their Watermill Caterers wedding reception started out like most – bridal party introductions, followed by a sweet first dance by the couple and then speeches by the two matron’s of honor and two best men. But our bride had a HUGE surprise for her groom and their guests immediately following speeches…she had hired Mr. Met to be at their reception! Haralambos, a HUGE mets fan was completely surprised by the DJ announcing their special guest from Flushing Queens, NY and all the guests loved watching Mr Met dance around while taking pictures with him. It was so fun watching him there and was by far one of the most fun surprises I have ever witnessed at a wedding!
Thank you to Nicole and Haralambos for allowing me to capture your beautiful winter wedding! I hope you two are enjoying Mexico <3
