WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >

Megan and Drew had a beautiful Wedding at The Bradford Estate in Hainesport, NJ last weekend! Megan & Drew had a classic wedding with a color palette of blue and silver. They had intended on a Fall wedding with lots of pumpkins, but their wedding was postponed from November 7, 2020 to May 28, 2021 due to the pandemic, so even though they didn’t have their Fall day, they still incorporated all their Cinderella pumpkins perfectly into their decor!
Megan and Drew met in her backyard on July 11, 2014, which also happened to be her college graduation party. Drew’s mom and her mom were best friends at work. They worked together for years, but Megan and Drew had never met because they lived in different states and were off at college and busy with life. For years Megan would talk to Drew’s mom and her mom on the phone while they were at work, and would reach out to his mom for recipes and such. The funny thing about how they met was that Drew’s mom asked him if he would drive her to her “friend’s daughter’s graduation party” because it was a long drive and his dad couldn’t make it. For some reason, Drew’s dad was able to go, but Drew went with them anyway and the rest is history!
Their first date was three weeks later at a restaurant in Princeton where they met for dinner. Megan was so nervous and recalls the restaurant being really fancy and she had no idea what to order. But despite being so nervous, it was like they had known each other for years.
Engaged on 05/22/2019, the proposal from Megan: “Drew proposed in Zion National Park near the Angels Landing Overlook. We were taking a vacation cross country because we like to hike a lot. That day we were going on a hike to the top of the overlook and Drew was in a hurry because it was going to rain. Minutes before the proposal we’re hiking up the mountain and I remember telling him to slow down because I thought we were hiking, not running a marathon. Right before we got to the top, he climbed up and turned around and reached for my hand and said “This Is It” so I climbed up too and looked at the view. I didn’t even realize he wasn’t standing next to me by the time I turned around and he was on one knee. After our moment our two best friends came out from hiding and surprised us with the photos from the proposal and champagne.” In the Summer of 2019, I was lucky enough to capture their rustic engagement session on Drew’s family farm in Pennsylvania.
Megan and Drew’s Wedding at the Bradford Estate began on site for both. All week, we had a forecast of a rainy weekend, but you would never know when you walked into the bridal suite! Megan and Drew had very large bridal parties and there was hair and makeup going on in every corner! The upstairs of the Bradford Estate may have felt crowded, but I loved capturing every single one of Megan’s details as well as my glowing bride to be, they had waited a long time for this day and it was worth the wait!
After my couple was dressed it was time for their first look! Megan and Drew had a great sense of humor, Megan had the best man, Jeff dress in her mother’s gown for a Faux first look, Drew never saw it coming and it was a hilarious way to begin their portrait session! After they officially saw one another, we used every inch of the grounds for portraits, thankfully the Bradford Estate has plenty of options for rainy days and we were able to get a full set of couple and bridal party portraits outdoors.
Their rustic Cinderella country themed wedding continued with their indoor ceremony which was officiated by a family friend although they were already married nearly 2 years ago. Once they said “I do” again, my excited couple danced the night away with their closest family and friends, but before the night ended, I was lucky enough to take my couple outside for a few rainy night portraits.
They are most looking forward to all of the adventures to come as the new “Mr. & Mrs.” and they were excited to celebrate this day with their families and friends. After a 6 month wait, the day and party was worth it! Now that they are married, their dream is to keep each other laughing. They would love to do some traveling and have a big family. Doing what they love with those they love is the most important thing to them. Thank you to Megan and Drew for allowing me to capture your Wedding at The Bradford Estate!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
