Windrift Hotel Resort Wedding | Avalon, NJ | Lauren & Joe

Last weekend, I photographed Lauren and Joe’s rustic beach wedding at the Windrift Hotel Resort in Avalon, NJ. Lauren and Joe had a navy blue and white color scheme for their Jersey Shore wedding and after using every inch of the beach for portraits on their perfect day, they said “I do” on the third floor of the Windrift Hotel Resort overlooking the ocean. Once the party started, The Rockets band kept the dance floor moving. I am so excited to share this joyful wedding!

Lauren and Joe’s first date was at Iron Hill Brewery (fun fact: my husband and I ALSO had our first date at Iron Hill, just different locations!), there were beer flights, a lot of talking and laughing, and lunch for the next day since they talked so much they couldn’t finish their meals.

Windrift Hotel Resort Wedding | Avalon, NJ | Lauren & Joe Lauren and Joe were engaged on 4/14/18 when Joe proposed in Jupiter, FL on the Juno Beach Pier. This was a special place that Lauren grew up visiting and couldn’t wait to share it with Joe. It now has a whole new meaning of special. I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session last Fall!

Lauren and Joe’s perfect wedding day began at the Windirft Hotel Resort in Avalon, NJ. When I arrived at their Jersey Shore wedding venue, I was blown away by how perfect the day was! They had a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze, the beach was absolutely perfect for their October day, the best conditions I have had for a beach wedding in a couple of years! When I met Lauren in the bridal suite, she was perfectly excited. Her stunning Mikaella Bridal wedding dress was perfect for my bride and a beach wedding and I loved photographing the fun layered skirt. Not only was her dress perfect, but so were the flowers! As always, A Garden Party did a beautiful job incorporating pretty blues into my bride’s bouquet. Once dressed and after a first look with both my bride’s father and her bridesmaids, it was time for the first look with her groom. My couple saw each other for the first time on the beach overlooking their venue. Once portraits were complete, it was time for their intimate ceremony on the 3rd floor of the Windrift Hotel Resort overlooking the ocean. Once the reception began, it started with a romantic first dance with all guests looking on, a sweet and emotional speech by the bride’s father followed by a wild dance floor with the Rockets band on the stage! Before the night concluded, we sneaked outside with the bridal party for a sparkler photo!
