WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
June 16, 2025
On June 7th, 2025, I photographed Maddy and Mike’s Yacht Club of Stone Harbor wedding. My happy couple chose their venue because they both share a love for the beach, especially the Jersey Shore. It is where they met, got engaged and now where they became husband and wife!
There’s something uniquely romantic about a wedding by the water, and the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor offers one of the most charming waterfront backdrops on the Jersey Shore. Even with a little rain in the forecast, nothing could dampen the joy and love radiating from this incredible June wedding. From the moment we arrived, there was a buzz of excitement. The skies were gray, but the bride and groom were glowing. With fingers crossed and umbrellas on standby, they were determined to make the most of their day — and they absolutely did. Inside the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, the reception space was glowing with candlelight and coastal elegance. Nautical details, soft florals, and warm wooden textures created a cozy, timeless atmosphere.
They met through Maddy’s long time friend from the shore, Steph. She was dating Mike’s longtime friend Adam. Their first date was during the pandemic in 2020, since they couldn’t go out, they had a wine and pizza night at Mike’s apartment!
Engaged 10/15/2023, the proposal: “Mike got down on one knee on 7th Street in North Wildwood. The same street we spend our beach days on. We were walking Hank (their dog) and Mike suggested to walk down to the beach, Mike popped the question as Hank literally did laps around us. On our walk during the beginning, Mike had the ring in his sweatpants pocket which had a hole in it and the ring fell out onto the street but somehow Maddy did not notice at all!”
When they weren’t wedding planning, they enjoy working out together, trying new dinner and drink spots, taking their dog, Hank on adventures and going to the beach!
Their advice for couples currently planning is to not rush the process! Enjoy each phase of life and your relationship, don’t sweat the small things and remember this day is about you and the one you are marrying! Maddy and Mike were most looking froward to sharing their special day with loved ones and enjoying the celebration!
Maddy and Mike’s day was a beautiful reminder that love always finds a way — rain or shine. The Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, with its classic charm and unbeatable views, was the perfect place for this heartfelt celebration by the sea.
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
