WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
April 30, 2021
Last weekend, I photographed Melissa and Ryan’s NJ Micro Wedding! My couple had a simple, classic and romantic wedding with a ceremony at The First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown followed by portraits at the Community House of Moorestown and a park with spring blooms. There was a threat of rain all week leading up to their wedding day, but instead we had a beautiful day filled with love and cherry blossoms, my favorite combination!
Melissa and Ryan first met at dental school at the University of Maryland during a speed dating event hosted by the university, Melissa was in her first year and Ryan was in his second. Their first date was in the Spring of 2016 at a small coffee shop in Baltimore a few weeks after they first met.
Engaged on 1/1/21, the proposal from Melissa: “I fell asleep on New Year’s Eve waiting for midnight. The doorbell rang and Ryan pretended that he did not know who it was. When we walked to the door, there was an entire set-up of lights, candles, flowers, and a cake. It was magical! Ryan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him…of course I said yes!”
Melissa and Ryan are truly best friends and have the same sense of humor. For their NJ micro wedding, they were most looking forward to their ceremony and spending the day with their families. When they are not wedding planning, they enjoy watching movies, going for walks, going out to dinner, and food shopping. Their advice for couple’s planning their wedding is to keep it simple, “The simpler the better. The smaller the wedding is, the less stress you will have. You are able to focus more on the excitement of getting married.” Now that they are married, they are excited for many things in their marriage. Their dreams include buying a house, becoming parents, traveling, and growing old together.
Keep scrolling to view Melissa and Ryan’s Batsto Village engagement session that I photographed less than three weeks before their wedding day! Melissa and Ryan chose Batsto Village in Hammonton as the location of their engagement session because they were looking for a rustic/barn feel for their engagement photos. Batsto Village has many different locations for a variety of photos, plus Melissa’s sister also did her engagement photos there!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
