Renault Winery Vineyard Ballroom | Egg Harbor City, NJ | Nicole & Chris

Last weekend, I photographed Nicole and Chris’ Renault Winery Vineyard Ballroom wedding in Egg Harbor City, NJ! Nicole and Chris chose Renault Winery for their wedding venue as they loved the rustic wood feel of the vineyard ballroom.

Nicole and Chris matched on Bumble in 2018. She told him he looked cute and he sent her back a Friends gif of Joey saying ‘How you doin’. A few gifs later and they had to meet. They’d later watch the entire show together over 3 months when she would visit his house. For their first date, they met at the Melting Pot on a cold night the day after Thanksgiving in 2018. They tried all kinds of new food, getting to know each other and sharing their goals in life. They had so much fun that they ended the night cuddled up by the fire pit at a local pub still talking and laughing.

After a date night in Philly of May 2019, they grabbed drinks and saw a comedy show. As they were talking afterwards, Chris told her he loved her. From there, they started talking about their future and what they wanted to do together. That’s when Chris knew that Nicole was the one. Nicole had known way before then but wanted to give their relationship the time to grow first.

Engaged on 08/25/2020, the proposal from Nicole: “In the beginning of our relationship, Chris celebrated smaller anniversary milestones and I usually forgot! To make sure I didn’t forget our 1.75 year anniversary, I got Chris a card. When I gave it to him, he was so surprised and said he didn’t realize it was today. He continued to make dinner since he is the chef between us. After we ate, he said I actually did get you a gift, and it was the ring. I couldn’t believe it, he had pulled off the ultimate surprise! I immediately kissed him, I was just so happy, he had to ask me whether that was a yes!”

Nicole, a practice manager at Penn Medicine and Chris, a Director at Litify love spending time with each other because even from the beginning, everything always felt so natural between them. They always enjoy the time they have with each other, no matter what it is. There isn’t ever anything that can keep them off balance for long. Before the pandemic, Nicole and Chris enjoyed doing different things for dates; dinner, drinks, bowling, ax throwing, karaoke, movies and games. During the pandemic, they have cherished their time together more and enjoy just being with each other no matter what.

Now married, their dreams include starting a family, which they are very excited about. If Chris had his way, they would have enough kids for a whole hockey team and if Nicole had her way, they would have enough dogs for the Iditarod race in Alaska. Their advice for couple’s currently planning is to enjoy the planning process and make sure to plan the details together. It feels so much more special making those decisions together. They were most looking forward to seeing all the details they selected come together and for the planning process to be over! They couldn’t wait to enjoy the day and celebrate their love with their friends and family. Nicole was most excited to see Chris’s face when he saw her in her dress for the first time.
