A Timeless Radnor Valley Country Club Wedding

Some wedding days are simply timeless, and Carolyn and JP’s wedding at Radnor Valley Country Club was one of them. With icy blue bridesmaid dresses, classic black tuxedos, and gorgeous blue and white florals accented with greenery, every detail came together to create an elegant and classic wedding day.

As a Philadelphia wedding photographer, I love photographing weddings where the details are beautiful but the people and emotions are what truly make the day memorable. Carolyn and JP’s wedding was filled with both.

A Sweet and Unexpected First Look

The day began with a beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Rather than a full Mass, the couple had a shorter ceremony before a quick exit and heading to Radnor Valley Country Club for the rest of their wedding day and portraits.

But before leaving the church, we captured one of my favorite moments of the entire day.

Carolyn had an unexpected first look with her bridesmaids and her dad, and it brought tears to everyone’s eyes, including the bride. There is something so special about photographing moments like this because they aren’t planned or posed. They just happen, and everyone gets to experience them together.

And Carolyn was absolutely the most timeless bride. Her classic bridal look paired perfectly with the elegant aesthetic of the day.

Wedding Portraits at Radnor Valley Country Club

Once we arrived at Radnor Valley Country Club, it was time for portraits!

This couple had a huge bridal party, and it was immediately obvious why. They were surrounded by so many people who love them. After photographing the bridal party, we took advantage of the beautiful grounds for their newlywed portraits.

We used every inch of the property, moving around the grounds to create a variety of portraits while still keeping the focus on the two of them. There was so much genuine affection between Carolyn and JP, which made photographing their portraits incredibly easy.

As a South Jersey wedding photographer, I love having the opportunity to photograph weddings throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond. Every venue has its own personality, and Radnor Valley Country Club gave us so many beautiful spaces to work with while still allowing the photographs to feel natural and personal to this couple.

The Dance Floor Was Carolyn’s Place to Shine

As much as I loved capturing their wedding portraits, the dance floor is where I truly loved capturing Carolyn.

She was the life of the party. Carolyn danced with her guests to every. single. song. She was completely in the moment, surrounded by her favorite people and clearly having the best time. And honestly, those are some of my favorite wedding photographs to make.

Beautiful portraits are wonderful, but the photographs that capture how a wedding day actually felt are the ones that become even more meaningful over time. Carolyn laughing, dancing, hugging her friends, and celebrating with everyone she loves told the story of this wedding better than any detail ever could.

From the emotional surprise with her dad and bridesmaids to the last songs on the dance floor, this Radnor Valley Country Club wedding was filled with so much love, joy, and personality. It was an absolute honor to document it.
