WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
June 4, 2017
Last April, I photographed Angela and Marc’s Normandy Farms wedding in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Angela and Marc had a rustic affair with hints of wood, wine and whiskey. These two had a beautiful Summer-like Spring Day and we were even lucky enough to capture some cherry blossom trees before they were gone for the season!
I started the day in one of the hotel rooms with Angela and her mother and bridesmaids. Some of my favorite moments during this time was capturing Angela’s pretty details (I loved Marc’s wood wedding band!), the bridesmaids reaction to seeing Angela fully dressed in her gorgeous Oleg Cassini wedding dress and when an emotional Angela read her card from Marc. And the tears didn’t stop when we did a first look with her Dad!
Once time for the first look, both Angela and Marc were emotional again and I loved capturing it! We did the first look underneath the cherry blossom trees and walked all over Normandy Farms finding the best spots to shoot them. I loved the way Marc looked at his beautiful bride.
Their ceremony was perfect and also Angela and Marc’s favorite part of their Normandy Farms wedding day. It was highly personalized by their sweet officiant, Rev. Kent, our couple had a sand unity ceremony and pout notes in a wine box that they plan on reading to each other on their one year anniversary. And at the end of the ceremony, right before they officially kissed, a bee flew into Angela’s veil and her Maid of Honor and officiant worked together to get it out!
One of my favorite reception details were their favors! Angela and Marc chose little bottles of Jack Daniels with one of their engagement photos on the label, I have never seen my photographs on a liquor bottle before and I thought it was so cute! Another detail I loved is that Angela, a school teacher had her students provide marriage advice that they had at their ceremony, her students said such adorable things like “don’t be mean to each other”, it was such a cute way to involve her students!
Their reception was so fun! I loved the rustic back drop that Normandy Farms Silos Ballroom served for their day. One of my favorite moments was when each Angela and Marc danced with their grandparents after their parent dances. There was not a dry eye in the ballroom for that moment!
Any advice for future couple’s planning?
From Angela: “Enjoy the planning process. It may feel hectic, but don’t sweat the small stuff and keep in mind what the day is truly about. Also, for us, we are so happy we spent a little more on the photography and reverend. They are crucial parts of the day and provide memories we will have forever.”
Angela and Marc honeymooned in Cape May, New Jersey, their dreams for the future include starting a family, advancing in their careers, and traveling.
Thank you for choosing me to photograph your gorgeous and rustic Normandy Farms wedding! xoxox
