WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
June 8, 2020
Last Winter, I photographed Allison and Jeremy’s Art Museum engagement session. We started their Philadelphia engagement session on a bridge overlooking the city that Allison enjoys running on and then ended their Art Museum engagement session on the iconic stairs of the museum, with a beautiful large Christmas tree in the background!
Allison and Jeremy first met when she moved back to New Jersey from San Diego in their eighth grade science class. She had moved back to the same town she grew up in, so she already knew half of the students from elementary school. A classmate was introducing her to all of the students that she did not know, and Jeremy happened to be in the same lab group. Just a few years later, in their Sophomore year of high school, they officially began dating. On their first date in 2009, they went to their hometown diner. They were so young that they had to walk there after school and after lunch, Allison’s mom picked them up and that is when Jeremy met his entire future family for the first time!
Engaged on 07/27/2019, the proposal from Allison: “After a long day at the beach with my family, Jeremy convinced me that we were going out to dinner with his mom and some of her colleagues. Before we were going to meet them all in Asbury Park, he asked me if I wanted to go for a walk along the beach, this should have been a sign. Once we got to Second Avenue in Belmar we walked along the water chatting when he grabbed my hand and got down on one knee. After 10 years, I obviously said YES!”
When these two are not planning their classic Jersey Shore wedding at the Windrift Hotel, they love the beach, watching football on Sunday’s, traveling, exploring new restaurants and wineries, and spending time with friends and family. Once married, their dreams include continuing to travel, eventually growing their family, and living their best life together.
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
Have fun with it! Don’t let anyone else’s vision of your wedding change your big day or stress you out. This is an exciting time in your life – don’t let any outside factors ruin it. The intention is you are marrying the person of your dreams and nothing should eclipse that!
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Marrying the man of my dreams and celebrating with our friends and family!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
