There are wedding days that are beautiful, and then there are wedding days where every single detail tells a story. Natalie and Ben’s Atlantic City Country Club wedding was both.

With a vision centered around coastal elegance, nostalgic Jersey Shore vibes, and intentional hospitality, their wedding day was thoughtfully designed from beginning to end. From sage green and light blue details to personalized cocktails, champagne sabering, hospitality-inspired escort cards, and a packed dance floor, every part of their celebration reflected who they are as a couple.

And perhaps no one understands the importance of taking care of their guests quite like Natalie and Ben. Both work in hospitality, so creating an incredible guest experience wasn’t simply part of their wedding checklist, it was at the heart of their entire celebration.

The result was a wedding day that felt elegant, personal, joyful, and completely their own.

A Coastal Elegance Wedding at Atlantic City Country Club

The Jersey Shore has always held a special place in Natalie and Ben’s hearts. Natalie grew up spending summers at the Jersey Shore, where some of her favorite memories were made with family and friends. Ben spent much of his childhood living in Florida near the beach, so the coast carries that same sense of nostalgia, family, and home for him.

It made the Atlantic City Country Club the perfect setting for their wedding. Their color palette of sage green and light blue complemented the coastal inspiration beautifully, creating an elegant and timeless look without feeling overly formal. Every detail was carefully considered, with the overall design feeling polished while still capturing the relaxed spirit of the Jersey Shore.

And because Natalie and Ben both work in luxury hospitality, they approached their wedding with the same thoughtfulness they bring to their careers.

Food. Drinks. Music. Transportation. Welcomes. Surprises. Little details. Nothing was overlooked.

A Meaningful Wedding Ceremony in the Atlantic City Country Club Gardens

Natalie and Ben made the decision to keep one tradition especially meaningful: they didn’t see each other before the ceremony. Instead, they saved the moment of seeing one another for the walk down the aisle.

The anticipation made their ceremony even more emotional, especially because the ceremony itself was incredibly personal. A close friend officiated, and Natalie and Ben each wrote and read their own vows. Rather than simply following a traditional ceremony script, the two of them created a ceremony that felt like an authentic reflection of their relationship.

And the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful. Their ceremony took place in the new gardens at Atlantic City Country Club, with the Atlantic City skyline creating a breathtaking backdrop behind them.

As they exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends, the combination of the gardens, skyline, and personal touches made for some truly beautiful Atlantic City Country Club wedding photos. And, in true Natalie and Ben fashion, they couldn’t resist adding a little fun to the end of the ceremony.

They closed out their vows with a dip down the aisle!

Intentional Hospitality in Every Wedding Detail

One of my favorite things about Natalie and Ben’s wedding was how clearly their careers and personalities influenced the guest experience. They didn’t simply want their guests to attend their wedding. They wanted everyone to feel welcomed, cared for, and part of the celebration.

Even their escort cards played into the theme. Guests received keys designed as “check-in” cards, a clever nod to the world of hospitality that brought Natalie and Ben together in the first place.

They also created personalized cocktails and mocktails, making the bar experience feel uniquely theirs. And for the music, they went one step further—each guest had a wedding song from their own special day represented in the couple’s collection of records.

Everywhere you looked, there was another thoughtful detail. It was clear that these weren’t details included simply because they looked pretty. Each one had meaning.

Champagne Sabering Opens the Reception

One of the most unforgettable moments of the day happened at the end of cocktail hour. Instead of simply opening the ballroom doors and inviting guests inside, Natalie and Ben incorporated a champagne sabering ceremony. And there was a very special reason behind it. Both Natalie and Ben work in luxury hotels, and the champagne ritual is a tradition they know well from St. Regis Hotels. At St. Regis properties, hotel staff use a specialized saber to open a Champagne bottle as part of a nightly ritual marking the transition from day to evening, followed by a toast for guests.

Bringing that tradition into their own wedding was the perfect representation of their shared careers and their love of hospitality. As the ballroom doors opened and Champagne was sabred, guests were welcomed into the next part of the celebration in a way that felt completely unique to Natalie and Ben.

A Wedding Reception Full of Surprises

Once the reception began, it didn’t take long to realize this was going to be one incredible party. Natalie and Ben choreographed their first dance, adding another fun and personal moment to the evening.

Then they introduced a detail that perfectly represented their commitment to their guests: table captains. Each table had a designated captain who helped make sure everyone was taken care of throughout the celebration.

And when it was finally time to open the dance floor, they did it in true Jersey fashion—with a Mummers strut! From that moment on, the dance floor was packed. Natalie and Ben were the kind of bride and groom who never left the dance floor. They were right in the middle of the celebration all night, surrounded by the people they love most. It was energetic, joyful, and exactly what they had hoped for.

A Private Last Dance and Ribbon Wand Exit

Even after an incredible night of dancing, Natalie and Ben weren’t quite ready for the celebration to end. They planned a private last dance, giving the two of them a quiet moment together after spending the entire day surrounded by family and friends. Then came their final farewell: a ribbon wand exit.

Ribbons filled the air as their guests sent them off, creating a fun and joyful ending to an incredibly intentional wedding day. From the first moment they saw each other walking down the aisle to the very last dance, their wedding was filled with moments that were meaningful, personal, and completely them.

How Natalie and Ben Met

Natalie and Ben’s love story actually began at work. They both work for a hotel company, and Ben had just made a huge move from Washington, D.C. to Phoenix after accepting a position at the hotel where Natalie was working. Natalie had attended Arizona State University and stayed in Phoenix after graduating. By then, she had built a close-knit group of friends who had remained connected after college, while Ben was starting over in a new city without knowing many people.

So Natalie started inviting him to group gatherings and outings. He fit in almost immediately. Not only did Natalie and Ben develop an instant connection, but Ben naturally became part of the friend group that meant so much to Natalie. What started as a friendship quickly became something more.

Their first date was a Cubs vs. Diamondbacks game in Phoenix—an especially fitting choice because sports have always been something they enjoy together. Natalie grew up in the Philadelphia area and is a die-hard Philly sports fan (Go Birds!), while Ben spent his elementary school years in Chicago and has always been a huge Cubs fan. After the game, they walked to a nearby pub and continued the evening together. Years later, the story has come full circle. The Cubs were scheduled to return to Chase Field just days before their wedding, and Natalie and Ben planned to recreate that very first date as their last date before becoming husband and wife.

The Moment Natalie Knew Ben Was the One

For Natalie, there wasn’t one huge cinematic moment when she knew Ben was the one. Instead, it was the little things. Being with Ben felt calm and easy. Almost like she had always known him. One moment in particular has stayed with her. After an especially draining day at work, Natalie only had about ten minutes to see Ben before he had to leave for a haircut. He knew she needed him, so he sent her his location and met her in the parking lot. And he showed up with a king-size Butterfinger for them to split. They sat together, ate the candy, and talked about anything except work.

It was such a small moment, but it meant everything. Ben understood exactly what she needed without her having to explain it. That feeling of being completely understood and cared for was when Natalie knew.

A Thoughtful Proposal at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain

Ben proposed on May 30, 2025, at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Tucson. And because Natalie works in hospitality, the proposal required some serious planning. She thought they were simply celebrating her birthday weekend. Instead, Ben had coordinated with the hotel team to create a surprise that was incredibly personal. He incorporated her favorite colors, cocktails, and thoughtful room decorations before getting down on one knee.

Natalie was completely shocked. Her response?

“Are you serious right now?!”

It was a proposal that perfectly reflected the way Ben loves her—thoughtfully, intentionally, and with every little detail considered.

Life Beyond the Wedding Day

When they’re not working or planning their next adventure, Natalie and Ben love spending time together. They’re both huge sports fans and love cheering on their teams. They enjoy the simple nights at home just as much as traveling—cooking dinner, making cocktails, sitting around the fire pit, and enjoying time together.

Travel has always been an important part of their relationship, too. And after their wedding, they headed off for an Italian honeymoon just a couple of days later. Their plan was to spend nearly two weeks slowly making their way along the Italian coast and through Lake Como, giving themselves a chance to relax and enjoy each other after a busy wedding season.

Looking Toward Their Future

Now that they’re married, Natalie and Ben’s biggest hope is to build a strong and close family of their own. They both come from tight-knit families where traditions, togetherness, and creating a welcoming home were incredibly important. They want to create that same feeling in their own family someday—a home where people gather, holidays are celebrated, traditions are created, and everyone feels loved and connected.

They also want to continue traveling, experiencing new places, and making memories together. And if Natalie gets her way, that future may eventually include a beautiful home by the ocean.

Advice for Couples Planning Their Wedding

Natalie and Ben’s advice for couples planning their own wedding is to decide early what matters most to the two of you—and then let those priorities guide the rest of your decisions. There will always be opinions, trends, and endless little details competing for your attention. Not everything needs to be equally important.

For Natalie and Ben, the guest experience and creating a wedding that felt personal and intentional were their priorities. And they stayed true to them.

They also encourage couples to enjoy the season they’re in. Wedding planning can make it easy to constantly focus on the next decision or the next item on the checklist, but being engaged is a special chapter all on its own. Make time for date nights. Celebrate the little milestones. Take a breath. Because at the end of all the planning, you get to marry your best friend surrounded by the people you love most.

Their personalized drinks, check-in-inspired escort cards, table captains, guest songs, and thoughtful surprises reflected their desire to make everyone feel welcome.

And the dancing? That was simply Natalie and Ben having the time of their lives with their favorite people.
