WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
May 28, 2019
Last month, I photographed Jenny and Tristan’s cherry blossoms Longwood Gardens engagement session on a beautiful Spring morning.
Jenny and Tristan first met in June of 2016. Like many of today’s couples they met online. Their first date was supposed to be in Jersey City where Tristan planned an entire first date to make a good impression but fate decided otherwise. Jenny was coming from a prior brunch with her friends and was running late and asked Tristan if they could meet up in Hoboken instead. Tristan was hesitant to switch the meeting location, since he had scripted the entire date for Jersey City. But after their initial phone call and conversation, something inside Tristan told him to agree to meet with Jenny in Hoboken instead. They met at a Pier where they had frozen yogurt and talked for hours followed by dinner at sushi restaurant. Both Jenny and Tristan knew there was chemistry as their conversation went on for hours and they discovered they were on the same page with a lot of values.
Engaged on 07/05/2018. The proposal: “Tristan scripted an elaborate plan on how to ask Jenny to marry him. Tristan planned to ask Jenny to marry him on their trip to Croatia and even had a friend who is actually from Croatia set up a picnic at a private beautiful beach. However due to complications on both Jenny and Tristan’s passport expiration date, Croatia plans had to change. Even though they both were very disappointed, like always they worked together and rerouted the entire vacation to beautiful Key West, Florida. It took a few days in Key West for Tristan to come up with a new proposal that would be just as romantic as Croatia. Tristan took Jenny on a sunset walk along one of the beautiful piers. As Jenny was snapping pictures of the sunset over the beach, Tristan gets down on one knee with an engagement ring and pops the question. And the rest is history.”
Jenny and Tristan are planning a romantic and classic wedding filled with Southern charm at the Manor at the end of June and I cannot wait to document it! When they are not wedding planning, they enjoy watching Game of Thrones and Marvel movies, cooking together, playing board games with friends and hosting pool BBQ’s. Once married, their dream is to travel to as many countries and states before and after they have children. They hope to have 2 kids one day and cannot wait to own their first home together.
Any advice for future bride’s planning?
Tackle 1-3 major items each month if you have 6-12 months to plan to help you relax the last 2 months leading up the wedding. You’ll be so grateful you did this!
And finally, what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?
Getting dressed up and celebrating with family, friends and loved ones. Also looking forward to photo booths, wedding pics, ceremony & of course the reception dance-athon!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
