A few weeks ago I photographed Sayira and Eric’s engagement session in Hillsborough, NJ. When we first discussed the shoot, we were under a lot of pressure. Sayira was about to leave the country to study abroad for the next eight months, and they desperately wanted to celebrate their engagement with a photo shoot. By some miracle we were able to coordinate schedules and make it happen, and I’m so glad it all worked out.
Between the beautiful backdrops and their nonstop smiles, Sayira and Eric were a joy to photograph, and I knew we were getting some wonderful photos. The best part was that they were down for anything, and their adventurous spirit was infectious. We hiked through the Farms looking for the best places to shoot and found waterfalls, castle ruins, stairs, rocks, and even a gorgeous field of sunflowers!
I really enjoyed capturing some truly meaningful moments and hearing the details of their love story (they met in college and Eric proposed on New Year’s Eve in NYC!). By the end of the shoot, it felt like we had known each other for years.
Eric and Sayira, thank you for allowing me to capture your love, and happy wedding planning!
