A little over a week ago, I photographed Brittany and Phil’s Fall wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ! They had a brisk winter-like day for their wedding and had a color palette of burgundy, navy, blush and gold. I am so excited to share this joyful Fall wedding at Scotland Run!
Brittany and Phil’s Fall wedding at Scotland Run was filled with family! When I walked into the hotel where Brittany’s large bridal party was getting ready, I was met with Brittany’s sister working on her wedding day hair. Family involvement didn’t stop there as Phil’s children were involved in the bridal party, Brittany’s nieces and nephews were ring bearers and a flower girl, Brittany’s sister was her hair stylist and all the important women in Brittany’s life each helped her get dressed. She had her family friend who was like a mother help zip her up as well as her stepmother, grandmother, sisters and Phil’s mother. My favorite detail of Brittany’s was her beautiful Calla Blanche gown, it had gorgeous detail on the back of the dress and the dramatic train was one of the longest I have photographed all year! Before we departed for the Scotland Run Golf Club for the first look, Brittany had an emotional first look with her father.
Once we arrived at their Fall wedding at Scotland Run, it was time for the first look and then portraits on the grounds of the venue before it was time for them to say “I do”. Leading into the ceremony site was rustic wood doors decorated with wreaths, I had never seen this at Scotland Run before and hopefully it won’t be the last time one of my couple’s does this! Brittany thought about every detail for their ceremony and even had a seat reserved for her late mother and blankets to help keep her guests warm, which was perfect for their brisk Fall wedding at Scotland Run!
There were a lot of meaningful details throughout the day to remember the bride’s late mother, who was absolutely there in spirit. There was a chair reserved for her at the ceremony, her picture was her bouquet and her picture was framed in multiple areas. They even donated to an organization on her behalf in lieu of favors.
Once married it was time to party! They entered their Scotland Run wedding reception to pyrotechnics by their DJ followed by a first dance dancing in the clouds. There were sweet speeches and emotional parent dances and finally a hilarious bouquet and garter toss. This group had a lively dance floor and I enjoyed capturing every moment of their Fall wedding at Scotland Run!
Thank you to Brittany and Phil for allowing me to photograph your beautiful wedding!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
