Forsgate Country Club Wedding | Monroe Township, NJ | Alyssa & Mark
Last weekend, I photographed Alyssa and Mark’s wedding at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe, NJ. We had a gorgeous Summer day on the longest day of the year with a sweet church ceremony at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Hamilton followed portraits at Princeton University and finally, a nonstop party at Forsgate Country Club! I am so excited to share this fun wedding!
Alyssa and Mark met through a mutual friend, a college friend for Alyssa and a friend from back home for Mark. While they cannot seem to agree on when they first actually met, Alyssa says it was a Zog sports kickball game for a team neither of them were on. Their first date was in Fall of 2013 at O’Neils in Hoboken.
Engaged on 12/09/2017, the proposal from Alyssa: “Mark told me we were going to meet his cousins at a beer garden down the shore for the day. They “happened” to be running late so we decided to stop in Manasquan where (Alyssa) did shore houses for a few years to grab a drink before to kill time. It was snowing, so he managed to get me on the beach and popped the question! Our family’s were waiting at a restaurant nearby to celebrate.” And last Fall, I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session in Hoboken, NJ.
The day started at Alyssa’s parents home in Hamilton, NJ where I spent my morning photographing Alyssa’s pretty details and her getting dressed before departing for their traditional church ceremony at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Hamilton. Their priest was one of the funniest priests I have ever met and I very much enjoyed their ceremony! Once these two were married, we drove to Princeton University for bridal party and couple photos at my favorite spots on campus – Nassau Hall, Clio Hall and Holder Hall! Alyssa and Mark were one of my most fun couple’s this year and their personalities really came out with their reception details (adorable custom koozies for their guests and beautiful florals by Petal Pushers) and lots of fun dancing on the dance floor. Before the fun really started, during Alyssa’s special dance with her father, her emotional mom was invited to join and there was not a dry eye among their 275 guests (and 2 photographers). But my favorite part of their reception was stealing Alyssa and Mark away for a few romantic sunset photos on the golf course, Forsgate Country Club has such a pretty sunset on the course! Their band, The Benjamins are one of the most fun bands I have ever seen (they also did Karen and Chris’ Forsgate Country Club wedding back in 2016!) and their dance floor was so fun, I loved all the fun dancing photographs we captured and am so excited to share this wedding.
Now that Alyssa and Mark are finished planning their Forsgate Country Club wedding, they are soon off on a dream honeymoon to Italy! And now married, their hope is to continue to travel before having children.
