Gwyneth & Steve’s beachy and colorful Icona Golden Inn wedding was one of the most memorable that I have photographed this year, in fact, I can still hear Gwyneth’s laugh every time I look back at these photos!
I was so excited to shoot at the brand new Icona Golden Inn, over the past year, it has gone through a major renovation and it was worth it! The hotel rooms are bright and clean and had tons of natural light, which I love for details and getting ready. Gwyneth and her girls were full of smiles and laughter while getting ready. There were tons of hugs, food, champagne and dancing!
While I was with the ladies, Matthew was with Steve. Gwyneth and I did a boudoir shoot for Steve as a gift and I love the images Matthew captured of Steve looking through the album for the first time!
Gwyneth and Steve met through mutual friends and developed a relationship even though she was living in Baltimore and he was in Philadelphia, she later moved to Philly and they eventually became engaged.
I loved capturing their first look. These two had so much chemistry on our engagement shoot last Fall that I knew this day would be filled with so much love and emotion!
We had a very windy day for photos on the beach at this Icona Golden Inn Wedding, but it worked so well! Their bridal party was one of the largest I have ever photographed! I loved the way all the girls different shades of blue dresses looked against the gorgeous beach sky.
Before their Icona Golden Inn wedding ceremony, we got to enjoy a few fun moments with the bridesmaids and flower girl in the hotel. I loved being around this happy and tight-knit group of women! The ceremony was filled with tons of emotion and personal touches, just like the rest of the day. Their officiant was Gwyneth’s brother in law and the words he said throughout were just enough to keep the tears flowing from our gorgeous bride throughout the entire ceremony.
Following the ceremony, we had another few minutes alone with our couple before they headed to cocktail hour. I loved the moment when they both read the engraving in their rings to one another as well as the moment when the steel drum band played their first dance song on the beach.
Once cocktail hour was over, it was time to party. Our bride and groom never left the dance floor and began the evening with an emotional first dance. Their smiles never left their faces and I had a great time photographing them!
Gwyneth said that getting engaged was the happiest day of her life, but clearly she was mistaken because I have never seen a happier bride on her wedding day. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Mooney for allowing me to photograph your wedding!
