Last weekend, I photographed Janine and Mike’s Hamilton Manor wedding in Hamilton Township, NJ. Janine and Mike had a beautiful September day for their classic wedding with a ceremony at Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Princeton, NJ followed by a lively reception at The Hamilton Manor thanks to their amazing DJ’s from Posh Entertainment. My classic couple chose a light gray and bright blue color palette with a pop of yellow from the sunflowers in the bouquets. I absolutely loved capturing this joyful wedding!

These high school sweethearts met the summer after freshman year of high school at a pool party. Janine thought he was crazy, he thought she was shy. Their first date was so long ago, they don’t even remember where it was but they do know it had to be somewhere local as these two weren’t even old enough to drive yet!

Engaged on 04/19/2018, the proposal from Janine: “Late last year, I was looking for a new place to cross off my bucket list and asked Mike if he wanted to go to Colorado. He ended up taking the trip into his own hands, inviting 10 of our best friends and renting this amazing log cabin in the mountains. We arrived a day before everyone so that we could go on a hot air balloon. At 4:30 AM the morning of, Mike received a call that it was cancelled because of the weather. He seemed relatively calm about the whole thing, saying that we would just “wing it” before our friends came in. I was disappointed about the hot air balloon, but even more disappointed because I had secretively (okay not so secretively) hoped that Mike would propose and now thought I was totally off with how nonchalant he was acting. So we “wung it” all the way to Denver Botanic Gardens, where after sharing a box of high-end donuts, he got down on one knee, said something about always having a Plan B, and asked me to marry him. I hugged him for 5-minutes before I even remembered to let him put the ring on my finger.” I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session last Summer at Princeton University!

Janine and Mike’s Hamilton Manor wedding started in Old Bridge, NJ. I met my excited bride at her parent’s home, while my second shooter, Abbey met Mike at his parent’s home. It was such a joy to capture both groups, but one of my favorite moments of the morning was when I went into the backyard with Janine and her bridesmaids and we popped champagne, this was such a fun group of girls! Once dressed, we all arrived at Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Princeton, NJ for their traditional Catholic ceremony followed by a fun bubble exit and a few portraits before we drove to the Hamilton Manor.

Once at the rustic Hamilton Manor, we used every inch of the property for bridal party and couple portraits. I absolutely LOVE the light at this venue and we had the most perfect golden hour light of the season! I also love their new graffiti wall, it’s such a fun pop of color for some cool portraits! Once portraits were complete, it was time for their lively reception at The Hamilton Manor filled with sweet speeches and a bride and groom who never left the dance floor thanks to their amazing DJ’s from Posh Entertainment. Now that Janine and Mike are done planning their Hamilton Manor wedding, they hope to settle down closer to the shore, crossing off more places on their bucket list, getting a Corgi, and having kids of their own! These two are currently on their dream honeymoon in Bali, enjoy!
