WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
August 21, 2026
There are some wedding days that just feel effortlessly joyful from beginning to end, and Lindsey and Austin’s wedding at LBI National was exactly that. With a classic, elegant, and romantic wedding style, a beautiful palette of sage green, soft blues, and white, and a sunny summer day, every detail came together beautifully. And after the rain we had during their engagement session, we were especially grateful to see that sunshine!
Lindsey and Austin began their wedding day with a sweet first look, giving them a quiet moment together before the excitement of the day really began. From there, we explored the beautiful grounds at LBI National for their portraits.
One of my favorite details to incorporate into their photos was a little golf flag featuring their names. It was such a fun nod to their wedding venue and became a recurring detail throughout their portraits—including during their golden hour photos later in the evening.
The grounds at LBI National gave us so many beautiful options for portraits, from the manicured landscaping to the golf course views. Their sage green, blue, and white color palette fit perfectly with the natural summer setting.
Lindsey and Austin’s love story began at Shenandoah University, where they were both collegiate athletes and even lived in the same dorm their freshman year.
In 2019, they went to a local pizza restaurant called Roma’s, which quickly became their favorite date-night spot. Their relationship continued to grow through countless dates, adventures, restaurants, coffee shops, TV shows, and games of pickleball.
When Lindsey was asked how she knew Austin was the one, her answer says so much about their relationship. She knew because she could completely be herself around him. Austin always knows how to make her laugh and has a way of making even difficult days better.
For Austin, it was Lindsey’s incredible capacity to care for others and her radiant personality that first stood out to him. He described her as intelligent, fun-loving, and someone who always finds a way to shine through any obstacle. Whether he is excited, hopeful, sad, or lonely, Lindsey is the first person he wants to talk to and now he gets to have those moments with her forever.
A Proposal in GatlinburgAustin proposed on September 14, 2024, during a long weekend trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with his family.
He had planned what Lindsey thought was a photo shoot at a local creek, disguising it as a modeling outing for his family’s shirt printing business. But when they arrived, Austin had something much more romantic waiting. He guided Lindsey to a tent decorated with outdoor furniture, lunch, and wine.
That’s when Lindsey realized what was really happening—and Austin proposed!
It was a thoughtful and personal proposal that perfectly captured the kind of intentionality that has been part of their relationship from the beginning.
Their ceremony was incredibly personal, with Austin’s aunt officiating and Lindsey and Austin writing and reading their own vows.
It was clear throughout the ceremony just how excited they were to finally become husband and wife. Lindsey had been looking forward to walking down the aisle toward Austin and finally being married, while Austin couldn’t wait to see Lindsey walking toward him in her beautiful dress and officially confirm that their bond was unbreakable.
And then, because this is Lindsey and Austin, they ended their ceremony with an unforgettable dip down the aisle!
Later in the evening, Lindsey and Austin stepped away from their reception for a few minutes to take advantage of the gorgeous golden hour light. After spending the earlier part of the day celebrating with their family and friends, it was the perfect opportunity to slow down, soak in the moment, and enjoy a little time together as newlyweds.
And what a sunset we got! The sky was glowing as we explored the grounds at LBI National, creating the most beautiful backdrop for their portraits. Of course, we had to bring their personalized golf flag along for a few more photos—it had become such a fun little detail throughout their day.
These golden hour portraits were some of my favorites from their LBI National wedding. The warm evening light, beautiful surroundings, and the joy on Lindsey and Austin’s faces made these moments feel extra special—and then it was right back to the dance floor!
A First Dance Lift and a Packed Dance FloorTheir reception was every bit as fun as they hoped it would be.
Lindsey and Austin ended their first dance with the sweetest lift, and once the dance floor opened, they were pretty much there for the rest of the night!
The dance floor was lively from start to finish, with Lindsey and Austin right in the middle of it all. They wanted their wedding to be surrounded by love and for everyone to have a great time, and that’s exactly what happened.
There was so much laughter, energy, and joy throughout the reception—and it was obvious how loved these two are by the people around them.
Now that they’re married, Lindsey and Austin have some beautiful dreams for their future. They hope to create a strong, loving, and supportive home where their future children grow up knowing just how much their parents love each other. They also dream of traveling around the world with friends and family.
Their advice to couples currently planning their own weddings is simple and so important: Slow down and enjoy the time you’re engaged.
Wedding planning can make it easy to focus on the next decision, the next deadline, and the next thing on the checklist. But being engaged is its own special season of life, and Lindsey and Austin encourage couples to be patient and trust that everything will fall into place.
Lindsey and Austin’s LBI National wedding was everything they hoped it would be: classic, elegant, romantic, and incredibly fun.
From their sweet first look and personal vows to the dip down the aisle, the adorable first dance lift, the golden hour sunset, and a dance floor they never wanted to leave, their day was filled with moments that felt completely and authentically them.
Most importantly, their wedding day wasn’t just about beautiful details or beautiful photos. It was about celebrating the beginning of the life they have dreamed about together—a life filled with love, support, laughter, adventure, and hopefully lots of travel with the people they love most.
And after photographing their rainy engagement session, I’m especially happy that we got the sunny summer wedding day they deserved!
Congratulations, Lindsey and Austin! It was such a joy to celebrate you both and capture your first day as husband and wife. Here’s to a lifetime of Roma’s dates, coffee shops, pickleball games, adventures, travel, laughter, and always finding your way back to the dance floor. ❤️
