A little over a week ago, I photographed Mary Kate and Patrick’s winter Northampton Valley Country Club wedding! I first met Mary Kate and Patrick last year and immediately fell in love with this adorable couple at their engagement shoot, Mary Kate and Patrick like many couples today, met online a couple years ago. Mary Kate was first attracted to Patrick because of his sweet smile, but that didn’t mean she didn’t play hard to get! She made him wait a whole month before they went on their first date at the Farm and Fisherman in Cherry Hill. On the evening of their first date, it snowed and while driving to meet him, her car slid right through an intersection and she almost turned around but something inside her told her that this date would be worth it and it really was! I am so excited to share my favorites from their Northampton Valley Country Club wedding!
The day started with bride prep at Mary Kate’s home. The girls were excitedly having their hair and makeup complete, but my favorite part of the morning was photographing Mary Kate’s mini me, her mini maid of honor and niece, Brie! She was the most excited person on this wedding day and her excitement was contagious. This continued throughout the day and she even gave the sweetest speech later on at the reception, where there was not a dry eye in the ballroom! Once Mary Kate was dressed, we went outside for a few bridesmaid portraits before heading to the church, Mary Kate bought each of her bridesmaids an adorable sign saying how they met, it was my favorite bridesmaid photo of the day!
Mary Kate and Patrick had a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Matthew R.C. Church in Philadelphia and the ceremony was held by her uncle. Once these two were married, we hopped on the trolley for formal photos at the waterfront in front of Maggie’s Waterfront Cafe (one of Mary Kate and Patrick’s favorite restaurants!) before making our way to Northampton Valley Country Club. Once the reception started, the party began! My favorite reception moments was the sweet speeches, especially by the mini Maid! My second favorite moment was when one of Mary Kate’s family members grabbed the microphone and led an Irish dance where all the guests participated in a circle, I wish I knew what this was called!
