Old York Country Club Wedding | Chesterfield, NJ | Laura & Sean
Late last Summer, I photographed Laura and Sean’s Old York Country Club Wedding in Chesterfield, New Jersey! Laura and Sean had the most perfect weather for their day and their elegant yet rustic wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. I first met Laura and Sean at their engagement session at Sayen Gardens a month before their wedding. Laura and Sean’s first date was on July 10, 2014. They met up at a restaurant that was mutually convenient and instantly hit it off, talking about anything and everything throughout dinner. Laura knew she loved him after a month, but realized he was “the one” three months after they met, she was traveling to Europe and she missed him so much, that’s when she realized that he was the one.
Laura and Sean were engaged on September 10, 2016, almost exactly a year before their wedding date! The proposal story from Laura: “When we were first dating I had sent Sean a picture of the sunset on the bay and told him that this was my favorite place in the world. So one weekend we were at my parents beach house and rode our bikes down to the bay for the sunset. It wasn’t a promising sunset but then at one point the sun peaked through the clouds and looked absolutely amazing. We took a selfie with it behind us and as I went to look at the picture he got down on one knee. He completely caught me off guard!”
Laura and Sean planned the perfect day for their Old York Country Club wedding. After hair and makeup was complete at a nearby hotel, we headed to the Old York Country Club for Laura to dress. Once ready, we went outside for the first look, which was so sweet! I absolutely love when my couples cry at this moment and Sean did not disappoint 🙂 After the first look, we drove all over the golf course for photos of Laura and Sean and their bridal party. Some of my favorite spots at the Old York Country Club is their rustic barn as well as the bridge for photos. Their ceremony was highly personal and very sweet. Their officiant made everyone laugh multiple times before announcing them as Mr and Mrs! Once the party started, this group was so fun to photograph!
Now that they are back from their Aruba honeymoon, their dreams are to travel a bit more before settling down and starting their family. I cannot wait to see where life takes you two! <3
