WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
April 1, 2022
On March 25th, I photographed Carley and Alex’s Renault Winery Wedding and they had a beautiful early Spring day for their rustic and elegant wedding. Their wedding day vision included neutral tones with lots of greenery within the centerpieces as well as the bouquets. Their wedding started with a traditional ceremony at St. Rose of Lima of Church in Haddon Heights, NJ, followed by stunning portraits on the grounds of Renault Winery before they partied the night away to their live band, Legacy Band in the Vineyard Ballroom!
Carley and Alex met while working for the same company where they were both part of the purchasing department. Alex started a couple months after her and they began their relationship with saying simple hello’s to one another every time they saw each other, this eventually led into exchanging phone numbers in the hallway months later. Their first date was at Yard House in 2016 before going out in the city for Carley’s best friend’s birthday.
Carley knew Alex was the one very early on in their relationship, within the first couple months she could envision herself marrying him. Their relationship is so natural and fun and it still is! He fits right in with her family and she fits in well with his. Alex says there wasn’t just one moment but after a few months of dating, he knew she was the one!
Engaged on 10/17/2020, the proposal from Carley: “In October 2020, we had a weekend planned in the Poconos with Alex’s family for his Aunt’s 60th birthday. The girls planned a birthday brunch for Alex’s aunt where we enjoyed breakfast and mimosas while the boys went to check out a few stores in the area (what they were really doing was scoping out a good place for Alex to propose). Saturday morning arrived and everyone woke up early because we had planned to go on a nice hike as the scenery was beautiful with the foliage. As we were getting ready, I remember I was folding some clothes and laid them on top of Alex’s duffle bag (little did I know the ring was sitting right in that bag). Alex also was wearing his nice pair of jeans so I proceed to say “why are you wearing those nice jeans on a hike??” Still in that moment I had no idea what was coming. We all hop in the car and Alex’s sisters see this scenic outlook that they wanted to stop at to take some pictures (the backdrop was amazing with the different color trees!) This wasn’t out of the ordinary because his sisters always like to take pictures. There was a pergola overlooking the lake and his sisters proceed to take pictures with their boyfriends and then they say “Carley and Alex, it’s your turn.” So we go up to the pergola on this sunny, blue sky, crisp day and the next thing I know Alex gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. As I am in shock, shaking and of course saying yes, the one other thing in my mind was “is my family here?” I kept whispering to Alex as everyone is looking at us, “where is my family, where is my family?” Next thing I know, I see my mom, dad, brother and his girlfriend running towards us as they were in hiding which was another major surprise! We all popped champagne, took pictures and celebrated and after all there wasn’t really going to be a hike. Alex’s family and my family came back to our rental house and threw an engagement party for us where we were able to celebrate all day long. It was a day I want to relive over and over again and a day I will never forget!” Last year, I was lucky enough to capture these two at their Corn’s Inlet engagement session!
Now married, they hope to continue to travel, there are so many places they want to see! They also envision having children and they hope to purchase a vacation home in Florida one day. They were both most looking forward to celebrating their relationship and their love with all of their friends and family. Their advice for couple’s who are currently planning is to keep it stress free! Plan a little at a time and in advance.
These two are currently honeymooning in Hawaii, have a blast Mr and Mrs Caldwell and thank you for choosing me to photograph your Renault Winery wedding!
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
